Epic Games is known to constantly update Fortnite with new features and balance changes to provide players with a seamless gaming experience. The latest v33.20 on January 14, 2025, made a host of tweaks and modifications to the game, including a complete revamp of the quest tab.
Quests allow players to earn tons of XP and level up all their in-game passes. However, the latest change to the user interface on the quest tab has left a sour taste in players' mouths.

u/li_grenadier pointed out that the tweak essentially adds more clicks and steps to enter a tab or leave it. They stated that it was unforgivable and not an improvement compared to the previous layout.
Meanwhile, other users supported the move, stating that it was a much-needed feature that allowed players to check all quests across different modes instead of switching to each one individually.
Some users also agreed that the tweak augmented the gameplay and finally resolved a glitch where quests were not showing up during a playthrough. Others suggested the OP give the change a chance.
While some players had reservations about the new feature, most welcomed the refreshed user interface that allowed them to access various quests seamlessly.

What is the new change to the Fortnite quest tab UI?
As part of the Fortnite v33.20 update, Epic Games introduced an array of new items and features to the title. Among these was a complete overhaul of the quests tab in the game.
Earlier, players had to load a specific game mode to access relevant quests and see what was available. However, the new update completely reworks the existing system and allows players to access all quests across different experiences under the same tab.
Additionally, it gives players an idea of how much XP can be earned from each set of quests, making it easier for them to progress and unlock items across different reward tracks, such as the Fortnite Festival Season 7 Pass.
