Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is almost over, with a few weeks remaining until the next season hits the game. Players got dropped onto a new island this season, introduced to Oathbound and the new weapons they brought, and experienced the Reality Augmentation system that finally established a class system in the ongoing Battle Royale.
Additionally, players saw an exciting Battle Pass this season that gave players some of the best Fortnite cosmetics they had ever received, with characters like Doom Slayer and Geralt of Rivia as collab skins. Similarly, there are numerous ways for players to get their hands on cosmetics for free throughout the season.
However, these cosmetics are time-limited and were themed around an in-game event like Winterfest or Reboot Rally. While some events have already ended with numerous players claiming their free rewards, there are still several collab events that players can complete to get the free cosmetics if they do not wish to purchase them or the Battle Pass.

Every method where players can get free rewards before Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 ends
1) Battle Pass Free Rewards
The current Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass consists of some great cosmetics with upgraded details designed on the latest Unreal Engine 5.1. Players who do not wish to purchase the Battle Pass can still complete quests to level up and rack up on Battle Stars.
Currently, there are up to 30 free items that players can unlock from the Battle Pass, which also consists of 300 V-Bucks that they can get. All you need to do is complete those quests, level up to get battle stars, and use them to unlock the free tiers in the Battle Pass.
2) School of Llama Quests
The School of Llama questline was added last week to Fortnite with Tuesday's hotfix. Around the same time, Battle Pass owners could complete the quests to unlock the Geralt of Rivia from the bonus rewards section.
While the Geralt can only be claimed by those who bought the pass, some of the Witcher-themed cosmetics were added to the School of Llama questline that will be rewarded to players for free.
Players can head to the official website for the event to sign up and check their progress throughout their journey. Upon completing the quests in the School of Llama event, players can receive the following:

3) FNCS Drops
Players can also get free rewards by watching FNCS on a participating Twitch channel. They can head over to their Twitch menu and select Fortnite. If they see a "Drops Enabled" keyword in the title of a player's stream, they can head over to watch that streamer for a specific amount of time to get the free drop in their Twitch inventory.
Players will receive two rewards in the upcoming FNCS Major 1 matches in the next two weeks. The rewards are time-limited and can be claimed by players for a specific period:
- Feb 18, 5:30 pm - Feb 19, 4:30 pm EST - FNCS 2023 GG Emoticon
- Feb 25, 5:30 pm - Feb 26, 4:30 pm EST - FNCS 2023 Back Bling
Remember to link your Twitch to your Epic Games account to claim these drops. This is a crucial step to follow before you start claiming these free drops.
4) Augment Tutorial Quests and Login Reward
As soon as players jump into their first match of Chapter 4 Season 1, they are greeted by The Seven's AI AMIE, who takes them to a new Reality Augmentation system tutorial.
Tied to the Augments are a few simple stages of quests that you will need to complete to gain access to Oathbound Quests and a free Fractured Loading Screen. Additionally, if players log in to for the first time, they will receive the Chapter 4 island theme lobby track for free.
5) Victory Royale Umbrella
Tired of using the same old default glider? Then drop in solo or seek assistance from your friends to grab your first Victory Royale to get the Peerless Parasol umbrella glider for free. It is also one of the player community's most positively received Victory Umbrellas in Fortnite.
6) Explorer Quests
When players start playing the current Fortnite season, they get a set of new Explorer Quests that will help them get acquainted with several POIs and new items on the island. In turn, each quest completion grants them up to 20,000 XP, and upon completing every quest on the board, players can get the Legendary Blade of Insight pickaxe and Oathbound emoticon for free.
7) Postparty Rewards
The latest Postparty mobile app allows players to clip their in-game moments and send them directly to their phones to post and share with their friends. The app requires an Epic Games login, and players will need to keep the app open while playing Fortnite.
As soon as an in-game event occurs, like an elimination or a Victory Royale, the app sends a prompt to the player's game screen, asking them whether they would like to clip it. Upon sharing your first clip from the Postparty app, you will be rewarded with the Post That! Wrap and Postparty Confetti Spray.
8) Collegiate Cup - Spring 2023 rewards
The Fortnite Collegiate Cup 2023 kicks off this month, and eligible players can register on the official website to participate in the tournament. It comprises two formats, Solos and Zero Build Trios, where players can win cash prizes and two free rewards.
Players can get the Doggo Drop spray and GG Toasted emoticon for free after participating and scoring a minimum of eight points across both formats. However, the tournament ends on February 23, so players might want to hurry up and drop in to get these free rewards in Chapter 4 Season 1.
