Four new POIs, or major landing spots, have been added to the map in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. They are all part of the new Japanese theme, but only Mega City is the one that has futuristic vibes. However, not all these POIs (Points of Interest) are good to land at.
Some are rather 'sweaty' in nature, and survival is not guaranteed due to the overwhelming number of players that land in the area. With that said, here's a brief rundown of all the POIs on the island ranked from most sweaty to least.
From Mega City to Kenjutsu Crossing, here are major Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 POIs ranked from most sweaty to least
1) Mega City

It comes as no surprise that 44.7/100 players land in Mega City. This neon-lit POI is the highlight of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, and will likely remain a hot-drop location for the remainder of the season. Given the number of players that land here in any match, survival is not guaranteed, and only the 'sweatiest' will survive.
Those intending to land here to explore the POI should resort to crouching and sticking to the high ground. Use Grind Rails to rotate rapidly around the city, and in case things don't work out as planned, make a beeline for the waterfront and jump-dive to avoid sustaining damage.
Highlights of Mega City in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Most 'sweaty' POI on the island
- Stray and Highcard NPCs can be found here
- The POI features Grind Rails and a Vault (key can be obtained by eliminating Highcard)
- High ground provides a good 360-degree view for long-range combat
- Plenty of hiding space within the structures/buildings
2) Slappy Shores
Slappy Shores is home to the Slap Factory and a strange manhole from which noises can be heard. While the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles didn't leave their hiding place as rumored, this POI is still extremely popular. In every match in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, 13.2/100 players hot-drop into Slappy Shores.
Given the abundance of loot within the factory and easy access to a near-unlimited supply of Slap Juice, players will have 'zoomies' for the duration of their stay here. Nevertheless, with this being the second-most 'sweatiest' location on the island, it's a good idea to hold the high ground to have the best odds of surviving.
Highlights of Slappy Shores in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Near unlimited supply of Slap Juice
- Remedy NPC can be found southwest of the POI
3) Breakwater Bay
Breakwater Bay is a calm POI located on the edge of the island. When first added to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 1, it was the 'sweatiest' place to be at the start of the game. While it may have slipped by two points, the POI is still extremely dangerous and should be avoided by beginners.
Much like Slappy Shores, 13.2/100 players choose to land here on average during matches. While this number may not seem like a lot for those who play in squads, it has become a hellish order for solo players. To make matters worse, due to the landscape and the way the POI has been designed, there's not much cover available when wanting to rotate out of the area.
Highlights of Breakwater Bay in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- The cliffs on the southern side of the POI can be used to gain high-ground superiority
4) Steamy Springs
Steamy Springs is one of the new POIs to be added to the island in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Reminiscent of the Sludgy Swamp from Chapter 2 Season 7, this POI has healing waters that slowly regenerate the hit-points of players.
While this feature is not very impressive in the grand scheme of things, it helps attract 5.3/100 players in every match. Moreover, since the area is mostly open, it shouldn't be too difficult to secure loot and make it out alive. For those who need a quick getaway ride, a Rogue Bike can be found just west of this POI on the main road.
Highlights of Steamy Springs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- POI has healing water
- Thunder NPC can be found south of the POI
- Rogue Bikes can be found just east of the POI towards the main road
5) Shattered Slabs
When landing at Shattered Slabs, getting caught between a rock and a hard place is a genuine possibility. Thanks to how this POI has been designed, close-range combat is unavoidable in certain scenarios. To add to the woes, those securing high ground can rain death from above on those inside the quarry.
Despite only 5.3/100 players landing here in every match in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, survival rates are rather low for those who do not know the POI like the back of their hand. Often, the cave in the area is used to lure unsuspecting players in and trap them from above and below.
Highlights of Shattered Slabs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Highcard NPCs can be found here (eliminate to obtain vault key)
- Vault is found in the same area as "Most Wanted's" vault from last season
- Use Kinetic Ore to rotate or as a high-mobility projectile
6) The Citadel
The Citadel is a tough nut to crack in the truest of senses. Made of stone, this fortress has withstood countless Shockwave Hammer hits and perhaps dozens of Deku Smashes. But that was all last season. In Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, this POI has been collecting cobwebs for the most part.
Only 5.3/100 players land here in every match and try to dominate the area. Given its spaciousness, there's plenty of room to rotate and avoid combat if needed. The high ground also offers an excellent sniping position. Players can use a Cobra DMR or Heavy Sniper to eliminate enemies down below.
Highlights of The Citadel in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Longshot and Mizuki NPCs can be found west and east of the POI, respectively
- Excellent high ground for long-range combat
7) Anvil Square
Anvil Square in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has become the seventh most 'sweatiest' location on the island. One would think that having 5.3/100 players land here in every match would make this POI a cakewalk to secure, but that's quite the opposite.
Close-range combat and ambushes are a trend due to the number of structures/buildings within the POI. Players tend to crouch and hold positions until the target is within 'blasting range.' Thanks to the new Kinetic Blade, breaking through walls to launch an attack has become easier than ever.
Highlights of Anvil Square in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Plenty of hiding places within the POI
- Located in a central position on the island
- Polar Patroller NPC can be found northeast of the POI
8) Lonely Labs
Lonely Labs has surprisingly moved up the 'sweaty' list in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Nonetheless, with only 2.6/100 players landing here in every match, the POI is still rather 'chill.' If players land and secure one side of this drop location by establishing high ground in and around the Reboot Van, claiming the rest is easy enough.
Be that as it may, players may encounter more than the aforementioned number of opponents in certain matches. However, this will only occur when certain quests/challenges are associated with the area. Besides that, it shouldn't be a problem landing and gaining a foothold during the early game.
Highlights of Lonely Labs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Triarch Nox NPC can be found in the POI
- A lot of loot can be found within a relatively small area
9) Knotty Nets
One of the newest POIs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2, this area is a tiny island located off the mainland's eastern coast. 2.6/100 players land here in every match and try to stake their claim. While the location is ideal for the early game, rotating from here is not.
Since it's so far out from the center of the map, moving from one safe zone to the next will take some time. To make matters worse, Mega City lies directly west of this POI. Players must be extra cautious or use Reality Augments and/or vehicles when rotating.
Highlights of Knotty Nets in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- Evie NPC can be found within the POI
- Easy-going location for beginners and passive players
10) Kenjutsu Crossing
The last Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 POI on this list is none other than Kenjutsu Crossing. This one is the least 'sweatiest' of all the Japanese POIs added to the map this season. While the design is great, it's not an ideal loot spot.
Players have to run from one dojo to the other to find good loot. This slows down the process. For this reason, only 2.6/100 players land here in any given match. Those who can secure the area camp atop the multistory dojo and shoot those who approach it.
Highlights of Kenjutsu Crossing in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:
- A lot of loot can be found with the multistory dojo
- 10 Kinetic Blades can be found inside the dojo
Note: The percentage of players that drop at each POI is subject to change over the course of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
