LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is a new roleplay mode in the game's ever-expanding LEGO metaverse. In this exciting mode which arrives on December 12, 2024, you can make new friends, build communities, and create entirely new lifestyles. The mode offers a unique way to immerse yourself and socialize in the world of Bricktopia.

What is LEGO Fortnite Brick Life?

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is a unique social experience in which you join a brand-new city where you can build your own life and memories by interacting with your environment and fellow players from around the globe.

The unique game mode allows you to gather your friends (and make new ones!). You can explore vibrant locales such as the Town Square, the beaches, or even the eerie Mourndale Academy alongside 31 other players.

You can become a socialite and hang out in restaurants, parties, and rooftop clubs, or wing it solo and explore the world alone. Activities in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life are more fun with other players as you get to take part in exciting things such as hosting a band practice down the beach, grabbing a bite, or even racing through the streets on hoverboards.

Additionally, you can also decorate your own home with a wide range of LEGO furniture which can be purchased by earning. You can do so by taking on an assortment of jobs ranging from a mystical Fortune Teller to a hard-working Sushi Chef.

To make a living, you’ll need a job! Brick Bay offers a host of jobs and livelihoods to choose from. Here are just a few of the different roles you can take:

Courier - Deliver packages to other residents of Brick Bay
Academy Professor - Become an educator at Moundale Academy.
Security Officer - Make sure crime doesn’t pay.
Scoundrel - Prank fellow city-goers.
Sushi Chef - become a sushi master and serve exciting food!
Bobom Milk Tea Bobarista - work at a charming new cafe
Fortune Teller - What does your future hold? New furniture!

If you fancy a career change, you can choose a new job whenever you feel like it. You can try out all the different professions until you find your favorites. Your in-game Phone will also occasionally send out calls for help from businesses which can turn into opportunities.

Homes are where you can go to relax after a hard day’s work. There are many vacant lots throughout the city where you can build your dream home. These properties can range from cozy houses to chic apartments and elegant penthouses. Pick and purchase your very own home with your earnings. Once purchased, you can then customize it to your heart's content.

But before you get to customizing, you’ll need some stuff to decorate it with. You can easily open up your Phone to access the Furniture Catalogue, where you’ll find a huge assortment of items you can use to personalize your place. You can also visit the Furniture Shop right down the block, which regularly has brand-new items.

If you have existing Decor Bundles and Builds, use these in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life too. Look for the cross-compatible icon in your Locker to find the builds that can be used here.

Most Decor Bundles and Builds from LEGO Fortnite Odyssey are natively cross-compatible with LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, but a few large builds and other special structures will not be useable at launch. However, Epic Games has stated that these will be supported soon.

Explore and meet new residents

After a hard day’s work, you can unwind with your friends in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. There are many things to see and do across Brick Bay, either solo or with your friends.

As you explore the city, you'll meet new LEGO faces as well as other players — you can interact with them using the new text chat feature. To maintain your privacy or preferences, you can also choose who you chat with in Fortnite’s Settings.

Apart from text chats, you can also interact using any supported Emotes or Jam Tracks (including the use of Jam Loops, which are being introduced) in your Locker. Additionally, you can style yourself by choosing from your existing outfits or looking for new items in the Fortnite Item Shop.

Explore everything Brick Bay has to offer

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life offers something for everyone in Brick Bay, which is the central hub of the world. It is a bustling bricktropolis full of interesting locales to explore, landmarks to admire, jobs to try out, and much more.

Here are a few places you can visit:

Town Square

Town Square is the center of Brick Bay and an ideal place to meet your friends for a coffee and then head out for your urban adventures. It acts as a central hub and can be a great landmark in-game.

The Beach

LEGO Fortnite Brick Life offers an expansive beach which is a great place to socialize and enjoy some good times by the water. It offers various activities such as tanning on the sunbed, riding the hoverboard, and more. Additionally, you can visit Cozy Paws Cafe, work out at MeowSwole’s Gym, or listen to tunes by the stage.

Mourndale Academy

Mourndale Academy is a school of magic and witchcraft in LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. You can explore Brick Bay’s home of mystery and spellcasting and check out a potion class among other fun activities.

The Rooftop Club Grand Opening!

The Rooftop Club is yet another point of interest which will have its grand opening on December 18. You can deck yourself in your best outfit and attend the hottest party overlooking the entire city. The Rooftop Club will be followed by many new additions and exciting expansions in the coming future.

How to play LEGO Fortnite Brick Life

When you head into Discover on Fortnite's main menu you’ll find LEGO Fortnite listed as its unique category within Fortnite. You’ll find LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, as well as LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and any creator-made LEGO Fortnite Islands. You can simply select “LEGO Fortnite Brick Life” to start building your new city lifestyle.

Unlock the Chord Kahale and Mr. Dappermint Outfits!

Those who play LEGO Fortnite Brick Life on mobile will be able to unlock the Chord Kahele Outfit, which comes with both LEGO and Fortnite Styles. The outfit can be easily obtained by earning XP in Fortnite while playing through the Fortnite Mobile App, downloaded via the Epic Games Store or other supported storefronts, by February 21.

Additionally, players who connect their LEGO and Epic Games accounts together beginning December 10 will automatically unlock the Mr Dappermint Outfit. Those who have already linked their accounts will find the item in their locker when the promotion begins. Those who are linking their accounts for the first time will also unlock the Explorer Emilie Outfit.
