Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix kicked off on November 2, 2024. It reimagines OG Chapter 2 and adds a lot of content in terms of gameplay and collaborations, including ones with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, and even Juice WRLD. All in all, things look amazing, and the community is beyond elevated - much like the cars, that seem to be flying about the map at random.

Brought to attention by several prominent community members like Dahja3D (creator of the Joy Outfit), HYPEX, and others, cars are out of control. User vxperisgay jokingly commented on Dahja3D's post saying:

"flying cars in fortnite before gta 6 drops"

While this may seem like an over-exaggeration, there's plenty of video proof to back up car glitches that are occurring in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix. If you plan on jumping into the game right now, here is what you can expect to see occasionally.

Car glitches make for hilarious day-1 of Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix

Cars were first introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 3. For this reason, having them in-game now fits the timeline perfectly. Moreover, with Snoop Dogg collaborating with Fortnite, the developers decided to add the 1966 Cadillac DeVille to the game. It has hydraulics, bounces to music, and can jump in the air - this is where the car glitches are likely originating from.

As seen in the videos posted by Dahja3D, cars are bouncing into the stratosphere (quite literally). At other times, they are straight up levitating across the map, as if being powered by magic or very powerful magnets (since there is no evident thrust visible).

Looking at these car glitches, it is very evident that the hydraulics are responsible for it. This is further supported by the fact that the glitch is new and only arrived with the introduction of the hydraulic feature in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix.

Popular Fortnite streamer/content creator NickEh30 also showed off this glitch recently. Using hydraulics, he was able to get the car a few meters off the ground and then proceeded to drive like that for a bit. A user, Verlaxify, had this to say as a comment:

"I had no clue you could do this and this is INSANE!"

That said, this car glitch is hilarious, with the community joking about it. However, it can become annoying for those on the receiving end. Being hurled a few hundred meters into the air in the middle of a fight or while trying to rotate is not very fun for those who have fallen victim to the Fortnite car glitch.

Epic Games has yet to address the Fortnite car glitch issue

With this being the first day of Chapter 2 Remix, Epic Games is yet to address this glitch that is currently in full force. No update has been provided in any official capacity. Furthermore, given that the developers are tackling other issues, they may have been sidelined for the moment.

That said, given that the hydraulics are causing this issue, the feature could be disabled until a solution has been found. You can expect an update to be provided soon.
