Most players' primary goal is to reach level 200 in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. While this is not the highest level in the ongoing season, leveling beyond it doesn't make much sense.
With the release of the new chapter, Epic Games has changed a few things regarding the leveling process. Unfortunately, some of these changes slow the process, much to the dismay of players.
On a positive note, reaching level 200 in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is fairly easy. Considering the season lasts over three months, even casual players can unlock all the Battle Pass rewards.

How much XP is necessary to reach level 200 in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1?
While Epic Games has made some changes, the first 200 levels remain unchanged. Each level requires 80,000 XP, easily obtained by completing challenges and performing in-game actions, such as opening chests and ammo boxes.
Besides earning XP, players can purchase up to 100 tiers in the current season. However, this costs a lot and is not a recommended leveling strategy.
The current Battle Pass has several amazing skins, but to unlock them all, you will have to reach level 200. Considering each level now uses 80,000 XP, it is easier to calculate how much XP is required to reach level 200 in Fortnite.
Without purchasing any Battle Pass levels, you will need to earn 15.92 million XP to reach level 200. While this may sound like a large amount, it isn't.
It's important to note that you can earn more than half a level by completing three daily quests. On top of that, each weekly quest grants 16,000 XP and a bonus for completing multiple quests.
Besides these quests, you can complete milestones and the Oathbound questline. You can also play the Creative mode or Fortnite: Save the World to level up. Additionally, Fortnite XP glitches are great for earning quick and passive levels.
Midseason drops
With the release of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, Epic Games has added midseason drops for the first time. These drops include five skins that will be periodically released and obtainable by leveling up.
While reaching level 200 is enough to unlock all the Battle Pass rewards and their special styles, midseason drops are different. Instead of reaching a specific level, you will need to reach 10 Account Levels to unlock these special skins.
The first midseason drop, Sunlit Selene, was released on January 3. To unlock her, you need to level up 10 times.
Considering that Epic Games made Account Levels a requirement for midseason drops, there is a good chance that these skins will be obtainable even after Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 ends. However, this has not yet been confirmed by the game's developer.
