Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 details leak ahead of time

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is due to begin in just over a week's time. Given how good the current season is, Epic Games will have to raise the bar a bit higher to keep the hype train on the move. That said, a few leaks have started coming through, suggesting large changes on the island next season.

While the information conveys brand-new POIs (that will likely be added to reflect the season's theme), there's not much pictorial representation at the moment. Nevertheless, given that the source of this new insight comes from leakers/data miners of repute, there's bound to be some truth to the matter at hand.

The return of the Fox Clan and new POIs via the Rift Gate potentially awaits in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2

For those new to the metaverse, the Fox Clan has been present in-game since Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5. After the Rift opened up on Earth and teleported (more like abducted) Drift to the island, the Fox Clan came into existence.

They are a group of skilled individuals that specialize in fighting and hunting. All their members seem to have electrical Rift-based powers. While the clan is a budding one (game plot-wise), there are four well-established members; they are:

• Drift
• Catalyst
• Vi
• Vox Hunter

Given how infinite the metaverse is, finding snapshots of members shouldn't be all that alarming. However, for the time being, only Drift has three snapshots that have been or are currently active on the island in some way; they are:

• Summer Drift
• Snow Drift
• Driftwalker

Considering that the High Stakes Club (elite vampire hunters) are present on the island, it would suggest that Driftwalker is too. Several snapshots and clones of the character were shown in a video featuring Joni The Red, a member of the High Stakes Club.

While this information has no value in itself, since a new Rift-encounter featuring the Fox Clan was updated in-game, the pieces begin to connect. This new Rift-encounter will likely be added to Fortnite in Chapter 4 Season 2.

Additionally, although it cannot be said with utmost certainty, the Fox Clan will likely make a full-fledged comeback. This leads to another interesting segment that involves the Rift Gate. With the ability to connect Fortnite's current reality to an infinite number of realities and the omniverse itself, it's being speculated that POIs related to the Fox Clan may be "rifted" onto the island.

With files in-game using a naming scheme such as "Asteria_DL_Rift PO_L1.uasset," it's clear that POIs may be added to the map via Rifts. Even though Rift-encounters do bring assets to the island, they aren't powerful enough to bring a whole POI; this is where the Rift Gate comes into play.

Again, this lines up well with leaks hinting towards the return of Lucky Landing or a new POI with a similar esthetic look and feel. Be that as it may, at present, it's best to take all this with a grain of salt and nothing more. Given how Epic Games is crafty and misleads data miners for some harmless fun, it's left to be seen if any of this makes it into Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.
