Important dates for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: What you need to know
Epic Games recently announced through their FortniteStatus account that the current season will end a little bit earlier. Initial announcements had the end of the season coming around March 10, but will now close on March 8.
They tweeted:
"Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 4 Season 1 now ends on March 8, a few days earlier than announced. Log in anytime starting March 2 for a boost of Supercharged XP each day and finish the season and Battle Pass strong!"
Generally speaking, new seasons come the day after the end of an old one. In very few cases, such as the change from Chapter 2 to Chapter 3 or Chapter 3 to Chapter 4, longer time is needed in between.
However, since Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 is not expected to have a major overhaul going into Chapter 4 Season 2, downtime will likely be pretty minimal.
That means that Chapter 4 Season 2 will begin on March 9. At the very latest, it may arrive the day after on March 10. There's no time for this, though, as updates come at different times when it comes to moving to a new season.
It can be expected that when people wake up on March 9, a new season will potentially be available for download.
This means that players have just two weeks to complete this season's Battle Pass. With a lot of excellent skins on the Battle Pass, such as Geralt of Rivia, Doom Slayer, The Ageless, and more, it's imperative to get as much XP as possible.
These skins will not be available once the season ends on March 8, so if you want to get them, you must do so by then. Fortunately, XP will be boosted starting March 2, so that will help.
As of now, there are very few leaks regarding what's in store for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. The skin leaks will likely begin trickling in soon, though.
As for the Battle Pass, that will likely not be revealed until the end of the season. It may leak early, but it will be a while before anyone knows what's on the Battle Pass regardless.
Keep an eye on the official Epic Games channels for official news and leaker accounts for unofficial announcements regarding the new season.
