Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Absolute Doom is the latest season of Chapter 5, released on August 16, 2024. This exciting chapter is based on a Marvel theme with the arrival of Doctor Doom as the major antagonist. It features a major showdown between Doom and the Underground, aided by a host of Marvel superheroes.
Doctor Doom harnesses the power of Pandora’s Box and Nitro, making him seemingly undefeatable. He is joined in his evil ranks by Mysterio and Emma Frost among other villains. This season also introduces the named locations of Doom’s Castle back to the island along with the introduction of a new location, the Raft Prison.
On the other side, the Underground is aided by Magneto who calls in reinforcements from Reality:616 through the Rift Beacons placed in Chapter 5 Season 2. Many popular Marvel superheroes like Cyclops, Rogue, Colossus, and others also arrive on the island. The season introduces Peelverine, an X-Men variant of Peely, and adds to the ever-expanding lore of the game.
Absolute Doom also introduces a host of old and new weapons to the game. Players can expect popular weapons like the Dual Micro SMGs, Stark Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Cluster Clinger to be present in-game. Mythic weapons such as Cap's Shield, Shuri's Blade, Wolverine's Claws as well as Absolute Doom Mythic among others will also make their way to the arsenal.
This is the second season after Chapter 2 Season 4 to only feature collaborations, making it a unique experience that brings to life the Marvel Universe and its characters. Players can also expect to see additional landmarks like Doom Town in the game as the map transitions from Nitro’d Wrecked to Absolute Doom.
Chapter 5 Season 4 will be the last season of this Chapter before players head into the OG season. Players can expect a live event that heralds the transition from Chapter 5 to the much-awaited sixth Chapter of Fortnite.
This season’s Battle Pass will be majorly featuring Marvel characters like Doctor Doom, Sue Storm, Gwenpool, and Peelverine among many others. Players can also expect a host of Disney-themed cosmetics to arrive throughout the season after Disney announced its roadmap at D23 2024.
