Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 will shift away from the current timeline in terms of lore and storytelling. The overarching theme will shift from Japanese culture, mythology, and folklore, to crime, heists, and overall "Lawless". While most of the Named Locations and Landmarks will remain the same, a few will change and/or receive a cosmetic makeover.
As the name "Lawless" insinuates, the entirety of the season will focus on elements related to bank robberies, feuds between crime lords, and who can accumulate the most Gold. Speaking of this precious metal, Midas is making a return alongside a cast of colorful characters that will be part of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 Battle Pass.
Big Dill, an upcoming rapper is currently having a "rap beef" with T-Pain. Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat will also be part of the storyline, and there are rumors of his brother, Scorpion, joining later in the season. Others who will be part of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 are yet to have their names revealed. But you know what has been revealed? The loot pool, and it is a real doozy.
As seen in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 trailer, some amazing weapons will be part of the loot pool. The Sticky Grenade will be making a return, while Meltanite, a new throwable will allow players to access Vaults. Akimbo shotguns will also be introduced alongside new weapons cases. Mythics from Mortal Kombat will also be part of the next phase of the storyline.
The Train is also getting an upgrade. It looks more sleek in design, and for the first time since its introduction, you will be able to go inside. There should be some loot for you to pick up, but be careful as others will likely have the same idea. Business Turrets will be back in action, so you may want to use those for some added cover.
For the most part, the storyline of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 is relatively unknown. Despite there being an outline hinting towards the possible series of events. This fog should clear up once it goes live, but until then, we know enough to state that it will be an amazing season based on whatever has been showcased.
There is also talk of a new variant of the Armored Wall being added. Unlike the original version, this one will not be a Trap, but rather a standalone item to be used. Suffice it to say, that between robbing Vaults and fending off opponents, this item will be useful to every player. That said, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 begins on February 21, 2025.
