Fortnite Competitive received a major overhaul and important changes as part of Epic Games' new policy to ban cheaters and improve tournaments. These changes will affect how players engage in competitive games as well as provide added security to minimize the use of cheats and aids to gain unfair advantages.
Here's everything about the new Fortnite Competitive changes to ban cheaters and improve tournaments.
Fortnite Competitive introduces major changes to ban cheaters and improve the quality of tournaments

As part of gameplay improvements and balancing before the upcoming chapter and new tournament season, Fortnite Competitive introduces a host of fresh features and rules that aim to curb the rising problem of cheaters.
As part of the update, Fortnite Competitive has restructured all tournaments to place cash prizes at the highest levels of competition in all regions, including the newly-introduced Divisional cups. This ensures players will have to advance through multiple rounds of competition before they can compete for cash prizes — protecting serious competitors and rooting out trolls and cheaters.
Additionally, if any player is found teaming up with a cheater, they will face a minimum 28-day competitive ban. The duration of this suspension will increase every time a player is caught. This ensures competitors are well aware of their teammates and choose the right one for tournaments.
If a player receives a competitive ban of 14 days or more, they will not be able to participate in any FNCS tournaments for the duration of their ban. This applies to the current season or any season where the ban might overlap. This new rule ensures that banned players cannot join competitive matches and takes another step forward toward fairness.
Perhaps the most important part mentioned in the changes is the significant increase in legal actions that Epic Games will take against cheaters as well as those who sell cheats and hacks. The string of legal measures will deter future cheaters and hackers from illegally gaining competitive advantages.
Fortnite Competitive also stated that they will implement additional competitive requirements to ensure more stringent requisites to be eligible for competing in tournaments with cash prizes. Additional technical changes and modifications to formats will also be rolled out gradually.
