Although the best way to collect gold bars in Fortnite is by cracking open Safes and ransacking Cash Registers, you can find a few by eliminating players as well. However, it's not a fun task as it involves combat.

That said, if hunting down opponents is your go-to activity in-game, this Bargain Bin Week challenge is perfect for you. By eliminating players and collecting 100 gold bars, you will be able to gain 20,000 XP.

A step-by-step guide on how to collect gold bars from eliminated players in Fortnite

1) Land in a hot-drop POI or anywhere of your choice

There are two ways to go complete this Fortnite challenge. The first includes dropping at a hot-drop POI and getting the ball rolling immediately, while the other requires a more meticulous approach. Depending on your preferred playstyle, choose the method best suited for you.

On that note, it has to be kept in mind that landing in a hot-drop POI like Tainted Towers will make the task both difficult and easy to complete at the same time. Due to the large number of opponents crammed into a small area, there will be no shortage of enemies to shoot and eliminate.

On the flip side of this benefit, you will have to contend with more players for loot and resources. That said, if this sounds too tedious, landing in a safer location is probably the best way to go about this challenge.

2) Get decent loot and take the high ground

After choosing your preferred method to go about this challenge and landing location, you will want to reach the ground and gear up as soon as possible. If you're in a hot-drop POI like Tainted Towers, finding an SMG and shotgun will be necessary. Since opponents will be relatively in close proximity, close to mid-range weapons will make all the difference.

If you choose to land at a more easy-going POI in Fortnite, an AR and shotgun are the way to go. Since you will have to fan out and look for opponents, most combat will occur at mid-range. If you have a steady hand, finding a Cobra DMR or sniper will be useful if the opponent is at long range.

Once the weapons have been secured, the next thing to keep in mind is to find high ground. While this may not seem important, it does make a huge difference during engagements.

If possible, try and get atop a balloon if there's one located nearby. You will be able to spot opponents rotating in and out of the area and get a bird's eye view of the POI below. If things get too much to handle, you can always drop into the balloon and re-deploy to safety.

3) Eliminate opponents when possible and collect the gold bars

After getting in a good position, you will want to aim for headshots to take down opponents swiftly in Fortnite. Once they've been eliminated, look for the loot they have dropped and collect the gold bars. Be sure to rush to the location after eliminating the opponent, otherwise, someone else may pick up the free loot.

That said, you will have to eliminate quite a few opponents to collect 100 gold bars. By rough estimates, about three to five eliminations should suffice. Since the challenge doesn't have to be completed in a single match, there's no need to rush the task at hand.
