The Suppressed Submachine Gun has been a staple in Fortnite since pre-season. This state-of-the-art weapon comes equipped with a suppressor that masks the sound of gunfire. Because of this, players will not appear on the minimap when shooting the weapon.

Although this weapon has been tried and tested in combat, players are being tasked with damaging opponents with a Suppressed Submachine Gun in exchange for 20,000 experience points.

A step-by-step guide on how to damage opponents with a Suppressed Submachine Gun in Fortnite

1) Land at a named location or landmark that sees a lot of activity during the early game

The first step in completing this challenge is to land at a hot-drop location. While this may sound counterintuitive, it will make completing the challenge easier and reduce the timeframe required to set things up.

For the bold and brave, Tainted Towers is the best location to hot-drop into. For those who seek a bit more calm, locations such as Flutter Barn and Chrome Crossroads are better choices. That said, you can land in safe locations if you feel a hot-drop is too risky.

2) Carefully gear up and find a Suppressed Submachine Gun

The next step is very simple. All you have to do is find basic loot. This includes shield potions, ammo, and utility items as you see fit. However, given the fact that you'll be in a hot-drop zone, a lot of care will have to be taken while looking for supplies.

On that note, crouching and moving or moving within buildings/structures will be the safest bet. Walls will provide protection from fire, and you can also confuse opponents by making a quiet escape using an open door or opening in general.

3) Try to stealthily approach targets

After gearing up and mentally preparing for a fight, the next step will be to find an easy target to shoot. Preferably, finding one in the open or far away from hard cover will be the optimal choice. However, if that's not possible, the closest opponent will do.

Once in sight, you should approach the target without being seen or heard. Crouching while moving from cover to cover should meet both of these requirements.

4) Once in range, open fire and deal 200 damage

Given that the Suppressed Submachine Gun is a close to mid-range weapon, you will have to get within at least 100 meters of your target. You generally want to get as close as possible, but it's best to maintain some distance since the opponent might have a shotgun at hand.

That said, once you are in the optimal range, all that's left to do is aim down sight and open fire. Since the Suppressed Submachine Gun has a high rate of fire, several rounds can be dispersed in a few brief seconds.

Usually, one well-aimed round of burst fire will be enough to inflict over 100 damage. If you are skilled or lucky enough to land headshots, the challenge will be completed even before the weapon has to be reloaded.
