Fortnite: How to hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist NPC

Some time ago, Fortnite leakers/data miners suggested that NPCs would soon be divided based on an in-game class-system. Although their data did suggest that this would be a brand new type of NPC, following the update v24.10, the existing NPCs have been reworked instead. They now have special-classes and class-specific perks.

With NPCs now playing a larger role in the game, Epic Games wants players to hire them and test their mettle in combat. Although gold bars will be required to hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist, players will be rewarded with experience points for doing so.

A step-by-step guide on how to hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist in Fortnite

The hiring process for all Specialist NPCs remains the same. You'll first have to interact with them to bring up the dialogue wheel. Once this pops up, simply choose the Hire option and the NPC will follow you until the very end of the game. With that said, here's where to find the different classes of Specialist NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:

1) Where to find and hire Scout Specialist NPCs

As of now, there are two known Scout Specialist NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: Longshot and Insight. They can be found at Royal Ruin (far west of The Citadel) and northwest of the Solitary Shrine (far west of Brutal Bastion), respectively.

Both of these Specialist NPCs can spot and snipe enemies using their Sniper Rifles, and will even ping nearby enemies and/or chests. In general, they'll be incredibly useful for players who want to engage opponents at long-range.

2) Where to find and hire Heavy Specialist NPCs

There are two known Heavy Specialist NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: Polar Patroller and Sludge. They can be found at Icy Islets (northeast of Anvil Square) and Steamy Springs, respectively.

Both of these Specialist NPCs use explosives to make quick work of opponents and can tank considerably more damage before being eliminated. Essentially, both of these NPCs will be useful for destroying builds and structures in the area. With explosions causing AOE damage, opponents will have nowhere left to run or hide.

3) Where to find and hire Supply Specialist NPCs

There are two known Supply Specialist NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: Garrison and Munitions Expert. They can be found at Watery Watch (far west of Frenzy Fields) and Breakwater Bay, respectively.

Both of these Specialist NPCs drop ammunition and materials for players to pick up. With a large reserve of ammo at a player's disposal, they will be able to suppress their opponents with ease throughout the match.

4) Where to find and hire Medic Specialist NPCs

There are two known Medic Specialist NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2: Remedy and Triage Trooper. They can be found at Secluded Spire (southwest of Slappy Shores) and south of Lonely Lab, respectively.

Both of these Specialist NPCs can heal players using Chug Splashes. Since this healing item has an AOE effect, allies within a small radius will be healed free of cost and need not waste any items.
