This particular Fortnite challenge will not be hard, but it will be time-consuming. Although glowing loot animals in-game are not that rare, they aren't very easy to come across either.

Thankfully, Epic Games is offering 20,000 experience points to those who manage to complete the task. Since it involves exploration with a smidge of combat, even newcomers will not have difficulty figuring things out.

A step-by-step guide on how to hunt a glowing loot animal in Fortnite

1) Land on a part of the island that has many loot animals

The first step of this challenge will require you to land on a part of the island that has a high volume of wildlife. That said, the spawn chances of glowing loot animals will vary from match to match. Nevertheless, finding a few shouldn't be a problem.

A few good places to encounter them are Tainted Towers, Lustrous Lagoon, and the desert biome. Before you decide to take on the persona of Ace Ventura, you'll have to gather supplies. It's a good idea to land in and around one of the aforementioned locations and gear up before going on a hunt.

2) Stay on the lookout for glowing crows and chickens

After gearing up, the next step is to find glowing crows and chickens. Crows don't have fixed spawn locations as they continuously fly about the map. Chickens, on the other hand, spawn in and around the aforementioned locations.

That said, it'll be easier to find a glowing crow than it is to find a glowing chicken. Thankfully, the challenge requires you to hunt only one glowing loot animal. Given how tedious the task is, it's for the best.

3) After finding a glowing loot animal, take careful aim and eliminate it

After finding a glowing loot animal, be it a crow or chicken, you must approach it carefully. One wrong move and the bird will be gone faster than weapons can be drawn and fired.

The best way to eliminate them is from afar, and using a Cobra DMR or a sniper rifle will do the trick. Given their low HP pool, a single shot will be enough to take them down and complete the challenge.

4) Claim the loot and carry on with the match

Once the glowing loot animal has been eliminated, all that's left to do is pick up the loot and continue with the match. Depending on your luck and the rarity of the glowing loot animal, an epic or legendary weapon will be up for grabs. Hopefully, it fits into your playstyle and gives you an edge in combat.

That said, it should be noted that certain loot sharks also count as glowing loot animals. However, given their HP pool and the fact that they are super-aggressive, it's not worth engaging them in combat to complete this challenge. Nevertheless, if you feel up to the task, the challenge can be completed by eliminating a glowing loot shark as well.
