Fortnite: How to throw Candy from a vehicle

During Fortnitemares, Candy was reintroduced to the island's loot pool. Sadly, "trick or treat" is not an option available to players. Nevertheless, Candy can be consumed to gain temporary buffs in the game. There are six types of Candy, and each produces a different effect when consumed.

For example, the Zero Point Pretzels sold by Chrome Punk can be consumed to obtain the Zero Point Effect. Using this, players can dash through the air to gain a speed buff.

By throwing Candy from a vehicle, players will be rewarded with 15,000 XP. Here's how to go about the task.

How to throw Candy from a vehicle in Fortnite - A step-by-step guide

1) Find or buy Candy

There are two ways to obtain different types of Candy. The first method is free and involves searching or breaking Jack-o'-lanterns. They are easy to spot and are widely available across all POIs on the island. Rocky Reels is a good location to attempt this challenge.

The second method involves some gold and leg work. Certain Fortnitemare NPCs, such as Chrome Punk and Curdle Scream Leader, sell Candy. Players can find and interact with them to buy some.

2) Find any vehicle

Once Candy has been obtained, the next step of the challenge is to find a vehicle. There are four types of vehicles that players can choose from. Since the challenge doesn't involve driving around, even the slow Mud Flap truck will do.

While vehicles do spawn all over the island, those who attempt the challenge at Rocky Reels will find a few nearby. Although the location is not safe in certain matches, players will be able to commandeer a vehicle from here without much hassle.

3) Get into the vehicle and switch to the passenger seat

Once a vehicle has been found, ensure the area is secure to avoid being sniped or ambushed. Building a wall or driving the vehicle into a corner is recommended. If opponents do attack, the odds of survival will be greater.

If there's a gunfight in the area, it's best to drive away with the vehicle and exit the POI after collecting Candy. There's no use in taking risks and getting shot at. Once a safe location has been found, it's time to complete the challenge.

4) Select Candy from the inventory, aim, and throw it

Select Candy from the inventory and aim to throw it outside the vehicle. Don't toss it too far away as if it lands on a slope, it'll slide down and may go straight into a body of water.

Once the direction and distance of the throw is confirmed, toss the Candy out to complete the challenge. Depending on what kind of Candy was obtained for the challenge, picking it up after throwing it is probably for the best (especially if it was paid for using gold).
