The official cinematic trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 has been released, giving players their first look at the upcoming content before it goes live.
Epic Games released a similar teaser last night, showcasing the upcoming Mega City POI, complete with futuristic vehicles and Neon rails around the region.
The cinematic video, on the other hand, provides a far more in-depth look at the next map's design and exposes loopers to some more gameplay mechanics. While they were aware of the Battle Pass skins courtesy of leaks and official image teasers, they were unaware of the new character who fell from the Crimson Rift that opened up in the sky after the Rift Gate was demolished.

Although players were not given any indications about the upcoming season's main plot, they did get a good look at the rumored Peace Syndicate as they rode through Cherry Blossom woodlands.
So, without further ado, here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite Mega Cinematic trailer.
Fortnite Mega Cinematic trailer shows off Mega City POI and Battle Pass skins in style
In the opening scene of the cinematic trailer, loopers get to see Thunder, Highwire, Mizuki, and Flaming Skull Man, all members of the Peace Syndicate, riding through a forest filled with Cherry Blossom trees. This indicates that the current orange-yellow trees will be replaced with a new biome that will be constructed close to the Mega City POI.
As they ride through the forest, several rifts open up in the sky and multiple structures fall through to form the Mega City POI. Several rifts appeared to hint that the region encompasses a sizable portion of the main island.
While Mega City is being developed, the Fortnite trailer shows its protagonists racing around the streets on their futuristic bikes. The Lil Whip skin getting squished by a skyscraper becomes visible to players soon after.
In the midst of this, one of the characters plunges out of the crimson rift that opened up at the end of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1. This future Battle Pass character has been given the codename Drift Remix by loopers and dataminers.
Drift Remix then flashes a peace sign to Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan and Fishstick, who then follow him as they grind on the Neon Rails at full speed to descend the lofty structure. It appears that there is a locking mechanism that, when players ride them, locks their feet to the rails like magnets.
Moreover, players get a look at the in-game use of Eren Yeager's Waist Grappler, a Mythic weapon that is rumored to be coming later this season. It wraps around the player's waist and, like the Grapple Glove from Fortnite Chapter 3, allows for faster launches and item attachments.
When the three characters make their way down the lofty building, they are confronted by Peace Syndicate members who stand and glare at them. Towards the conclusion of the clip, we see Drift Remix slashing at the oncoming characters with a supercharged Katana, lending credence to the widespread belief that a melee weapon will be included this season.
Additionally, a number of rumors suggest that the following season will only contain one named location, a massive Mega City POI, with the others serving solely as landmarks. Players will still be able to tailor their experience to their tastes thanks to the map's diverse range of biomes.
Fortnite's Chapter 4 Season 2 will be online in a matter of hours, and the maintenance is expected to run until 7 am ET, when players will once again be able to drop onto the futuristic island of Mega City.
