Fortnite recently launched their collaboration with the legendary heavy metal band Metallica. The collaboration brought the band members to the Festival game mode while featuring them in the Festival Pass for Season 4, allowing players to embody these iconic figures while jamming it out on the stage. However, the collaboration seems to be bearing even more content for players to explore, as indicated by the recently announced Metallica Cup.

The Metallica Cup is an upcoming in-game event that will allow players to compete to not only be the best in the tournament but also enable them to acquire an exclusive emote before it comes to the Fortnite Item Shop. This article will break down how players can participate in this upcoming cup and get a chance at acquiring the Ringer Emote before everyone else.

The Metallica Cup is set to be a Squad Fill tournament that takes place in the Battle Royale mode, and players can find details regarding the cup in the 'Compete' tab of the game. Players need to have Two Factor Authorization enabled and have an Account that is Level 15 or higher to be eligible for participation in the Metallica Cup.

According to the in-game Compete tab as well as the official blog post for the Fortnite X Metallica collaboration, the Metallica Cup is set to take place on June 18, 2024. The exact timings for the cup will vary from region to region.

However, Epic Games revealed that the cup will take place over a three-hour window, during which players can compete to accumulate as many points as they possibly can.

Rewards

Top-point-earning players in the Metallica Cup will be granted the Ringer Emote, an emote inspired by the Metallica collaboration that only adds to the already stacked list of Metallica cosmetics introduced through the Season 4 Festival Pass.

The cup will feature a point system, with each elimination being worth one point and placements offering even more points for players to secure:

2nd: 52 points
3rd: 45 points
4th: 40 points
5th: 35 points
6th: 30 points
7th: 28 points
8th: 26 points
9th: 24 points
10th: 22 points
11th: 20 points
12th: 18 points
13th: 16 points
14th: 14 points
15th: 12 points
16th: 10 points
17th: 8 points
18th: 6 points
19th: 4 points
20th: 2 points

As the Metallica Cup approaches, players will surely be clamoring to compete to get their hands on the Ringer Emote before it comes to the Item Shop for players to purchase.
