Fortnite update v23.40 drops today and will once again bring new items, Reality Augments, and the next set of Oathbound and Weekly quests. Alongside these, a brand new event has been leaked that will grant free rewards to players, similar to the ongoing School of Llama event.
However, this event could take place as an in-game quest as opposed to registering first on a separate website. Called Most Wanted, it will go live as soon as the game comes back online following the update.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, Most Wanted will bring a new set of quests that players will be able to complete in exchange for XP used to level up faster before the season ends, along with free cosmetic rewards. The challenges and quest milestones were leaked early, bringing the heist theme back to Fortnite after its run in Chapter 2 Season 2.

The Most Wanted event kicks off today in Fortnite after the v23.40 update drops. The event will bring a set of challenges to the Quests tab in-game, where players can see every stage and the rewards tied next to it.
Players will need to pull off heists targeting loot belonging to the Cold Blooded. Upon doing these heists, the quests will progress, which will then help players unlock the INFAMY rewards. Players will also earn Cold Blooded Medallions after pulling off a successful heist.
Heists will require players to steal items such as the Solid Skull back bling from the island that can then be unlocked as an in-game cosmetic upon collecting all five Cold Blooded Medallions. Players can unlock the Gold Blooded skin for free after completing all the quests.
The questline will also bring a special LTM where players can complete the quests. Here, players are rumored to get new Exotic Weapons that they can use to hunt down their targets and eliminate them with a certain amount of flair.
The LTM will also introduce a Raise Your Heat system to Fortnite, where players who eliminate more opponents will gain bars, better movement speed, and can heal out of combat automatically. However, as the heat rises on a player, other players will temporarily mark them, and Cold Blooded members will become more hostile towards them.
It is also rumored that Vault Keycards will be returning to the event. It was last seen in Chapter 3 Season 2, as seen in the infamous The Agency season, where Keycards were highly popular. However, later in Chapter 3, players were required to open vaults either using keys or scanning their faces with their teammates.
But since both of those seasons were unpopular, the return of Vault Keycards has hyped up the player base who have been waiting to once again experience the famous Heist mode in Fortnite.
