Another Fortnite live event has just ended. Fracture took place on Saturday, December 3, and it was Epic Games' way of trying something new. It was the longest live event of all time, but some players were not happy with what they got.
Unfortunately, this has been the case for almost every event in the past, so it's not surprising that some people are reacting this way. This article will offer a look at the event and present some of the main complaints players had with it. While the Fracture itself was innovative and great, Epic could have done a better job with the servers.

The biggest complaint players had involved the duration of the event. It lasted for 45 minutes, and most of it was spent on a special map where players had to collect Zero Point fragments.
While this was a great idea by Epic Games, even those who enjoyed the event thought it could have been shorter. Collecting fragments became boring after 10 minutes, yet gamers were forced to keep doing it for more than half an hour.
Every five minutes, there was a special mini event that triggered the Zero Point and made it pull fragments of different islands that were floating around. In the end, a new island was formed, and it was glorious. While the way Fracture ended was great, reaching that point was very tedious. It required players to complete different kinds of tasks, which was not everyone's cup of tea.
Part of the Fortnite live event that showed the Herald was just a video. Instead of players fighting against the antagonist at the Reality Tree, they simply watched a two-minute video showing what happened there.
Eventually, the Paradigm communicated with the Zero Point and gave her best to put a new island together. However, this was also seen in a video, which was triggered at the end of the live event.
Many Fortnite players were excited when Epic Games announced that Fracture would last for 45 minutes. Unfortunately, it turns out that this wasn't the best idea, which is why the developers may go back to making action-packed 10-minute events.
What happened after Fracture ended in Fortnite?
Shortly after the live event ended, Epic Games triggered a downtime. At the moment, the only thing players can see is a special "to be continued" screen that shows the Chapter 4 map at a distance.
It is unknown when Epic will bring the servers back. However, there are some hints that indicate that Chapter 4 will be released at 4:00 am Eastern Time. Players will get to redeem the free "Toasty Roast" emote by 2:45 am, and the developers will release a cinematic trailer for the new chapter at 3:00 am.
While this doesn't confirm that the servers will be back by 4:00 am, it's a good indicator. It's important to note that the Chapter 3 downtime wasn't too long either. Due to this, there is a good chance that players will be able to visit the new Fortnite island less than 12 hours after the end of the event.
