A recent Fortnite sponsorship of WWE matches could be the start of a much-awaited collaboration with the wrestling franchise. Known for its high-octane action sequences and a host of popular wrestling stars, WWE could be the perfect addition to Epic Games' ever-expanding collection of partnerships.

Eagle-eyed fans and leakers such as @yuzushiraishi & @gbates5533 spotted the Fortnite logo among other sponsors such as Snickers and Real American Beer, on the WWE tournament mat ahead of a Smackdown event.

This sponsorship could announce the arrival of more outfits to expand the current roster of WWE stars which includes John Cena, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair. It could be the perfect opportunity to launch outfits based on popular stars such as Brock Lesner, Randy Orton, and more.

This is not the first time that Epic Games has collaborated with sporting franchises or events. Recently, many players noted the game's logo at a few MLB matches as well as other recreational sports. This could be part of the developer's promotional strategy of attracting a wider audience base and inviting players from diverse age groups to dive into the island.

Sports has been a consistent theme in the game, with collaborations with star athletes such as Lionel Messi, Shaq, Patrick Mahomes, and more. Therefore, it wouldn't be too surprising if the developer decided to expand the list of offerings of wrestling stars in the game.

Although there is no official confirmation from Epic Games, given the exposure and past associations with WWE, players can expect more cosmetics from the franchise in the game pretty soon. If the partnership expands, it would be one of the biggest collaborations right after Marvel and DC, since the franchise is decades-old and leaves the opportunity for a host of cosmetics in the game.

After seeing the picture circulating on social media, many players and fans of WWE have rallied together in hopes of their dreams coming true. Some suggested that it would be the perfect opportunity to add more popular wrestlers such as the Undertaker, Rheay Ripley, and Roman Reigns to the ever-expanding list of cosmetic offerings in the game.
