Fortnite Winterfest 2022 is officially underway and players are warming up at the Cozy Lodge to open presents containing free cosmetics, just like in previous holiday seasons. However, a few cosmetics need to be redeemed by completing the quests that come along with this holiday update.

With the community excited to claim all the free cosmetics that the game has to offer, there are some special event quests that will grant players 16,000 XP each, which can be crucial to level up their accounts and unlock higher Battle Pass tiers. One such quest requires players to 'warm up' in front of the Yule Log in the Cozy Lodge.

For players unfamiliar with the name, Cozy Lodge is where players visit every day during Winterfest 2022 to open presents and get free cosmetics associated with the Fortnite event. The Yule Log is a fireplace that players can get close to and see sparks of XP popping up occasionally.

With Winterfest 2022's quests now live in Fortnite, the first set of challenges expires seven days after the next round goes live. Upon completion, each of these quests will reward players with 16,000 XP and if a player completes all 14 challenges, their account will increase by one level to unlock one Battle Pass tier and obtain a reward of five Battle Stars.

Fortunately, one of these quests is fairly simple for players to complete. First off, they must head over to the Cozy Lodge from their main menu. To do this, simply click on the snowflake icon located on the overhead menu next to the 'Play' tab. Once done, click on 'Visit Lodge' to enter the Cozy Lodge.

Once you're inside the lodge, you'll be able to see numerous presents laid out on the floor and two characters seated on a couch playing video games. In the background, you can spot a fireplace that's located just beneath the neon llama sign on the wall. Click on it to zoom into the fireplace, similar to previous Winterfest events.

Once you've zoomed in, the fireplace fills up your screen, allowing you to see the Yule Log lit up on fire and sparkling occasionally, granting you small amounts of XP. Furthermore, the Yule Log features the relaxing sounds of a fireplace with crackling wood, a comforting sound for players who were patiently waiting for Fortnite's newest Winterfest event.

After players spend enough time in front of the Yule Log, they will be able to see that this particular challenge has been completed, with 16,000 XP being added to their account's XP bar. Additionally, there are several other quests that players can complete inside the Cozy Lodge, such as finding slices of pizza by visiting the lodge for three days.

Released earlier today, Fortnite's Winterfest 2022 will remain active until January 3, 2023, after which all the items and presents related to this event will not be redeemable.
