The Fortnite X Family Guy collaboration has gone from rumors and speculation to having concrete information associated with it. Although Epic Games has taken two years to bring this crossover to life, it almost seems ready to be unveiled.

According to leakers, files pertaining to cosmetics from Family Guy have been found, but it's not entirely clear what they could be. Until and unless the files get decrypted, there's no way of knowing.

While it would be plausible to assume that the main skin would be none other than Peter Griffin, there's no way to confirm this fact. That said, here's everything to know about the upcoming Family Guy collaboration, possible cosmetics, and a release timeline.

Fortnite X Family Guy: Potential cosmetics, release timeline, and more

Family Guy cosmetics

It's best to start with the basics, which are cosmetics. Thus far, only a male skin and one back bling have been confirmed as part of the collaboration.

However, since Epic Games will likely want to capitalize on this major crossover, more items will be featured. Things like a dedicated loading screen, an emote, wrap, glider, and other skins are expected to be added.

In all probability, aside from Peter Griffin, other colorful characters such as Glenn Quagmire, Meg Griffin, Cleveland Brown, and perhaps even Brian and Stewie Griffin may be introduced in Fortnite.

Expected release window

For the time being, there's no fixed date or time for the Fortnite X Family Guy collaboration. With season 21 of Family Guy currently on-air and coming to an end in May 2023, it's likely that the cosmetics will feature sometime that month. They may also get added to the Chapter 4 Season 2 Battle Pass.

Since the first official teaser of the collaboration appeared alongside others such as Darth Vader and Indiana Jones (who later went on to become Battle Pass skins), the same may occur this time around.

However, there's always the possibility that Epic Games might take an alternate route and make them available in the Item Shop. This would, in theory, allow more players to purchase the cosmetics. Since not everyone wants to buy the Battle Pass, this would make more sense.

Challenges and Creative mode

Aside from cosmetics, there may be a few special challenges associated with the collaboration. Given how popular Family Guy is, players will jump at the opportunity to be a part of the crossover. These challenges may reward special cosmetic items such as sprays and emoticons that may or may not be available in the Item Shop later on.

Moving on to Fortnite Creative, it's highly unlikely that players will have anything to do in this mode. Considering that usually only anime collaborations have been given a place in the mode, Family Guy will likely be kept out of it.

Nevertheless, creators will no doubt try and create something to pay homage to the Fortnite X Family Guy collaboration to gain popularity within the community.
