Epic Games has officially announced the Fortnite x Shohei Ohtani collaboration, bringing the baseball superstar to the Icon Series during Chapter 6 Season 2. This collab arrives just in time for the start of the MLB season, giving players the chance to unlock Shohei Ohtani-themed skins, complete quests, and participate in a free-for-all tournament.

The Fortnite x Shohei Ohtani collaboration will officially begin on March 15, 2025, with the Shohei Ohtani Cup. However, the Shohei Ohtani-themed items will arrive on March 17, 2025. Here are all the cosmetic items arriving on that day:

All of the abovementioned cosmetics will be available to buy individually or at a discounted price as the Shohei Ohtani Bundle in the Fortnite Item Shop.
The in-game Fortnite x Shohei Ohtani Quests will start on March 18, 2025, and will be available until the end of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. Players will have the chance to earn free XP to boost their Battle Pass levels by completing the following quests:
- Finish 3 matches in the Top 17.
- Eliminate 3 players beyond 50 meters.
- Throw 17 items.
- Deal 54 damage to opponents with The Kneecapper.
- Travel 59 units of distance while sliding continuously.
Fortnite Shohei Ohtani Cup: Get a chance to win a free skin
For those looking to get their hands on exclusive content before anyone else, the Shohei Ohtani Cup will offer a chance to unlock the Samurai Shohei Outfit early. This Solo Battle Royale tournament will take place on March 15, 2025, and will be available for players of all ranks in the following regions: Asia, Middle East, Oceania, Brazil, North America Central North America West, and Europe.
Participants will be able to play up to 10 matches within a three-hour window. The best-performing players will earn the Samurai Shohei Outfit as a reward two days before it releases in the Fortnite Item Shop.
