There are numerous ways to get free V-Bucks in Fortnite. The most common method is to farm them by playing Save The World. This mode is considered the oldest mode in Fortnite and grants players V-Bucks upon completion of certain Missions/Quests.
However, keep in mind that this only applies to those who have purchased the Founder's Edition of the game when it first launched. While newer players can partake in Save The World mode, they unfortunately cannot earn V-Bucks. Nevertheless, this is not the only method to get free V-Bucks in Fortnite.

Aside from the Battle Pass, players can also use their earned V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop. Here, they can purchase Outfits, Gliders, Pickaxes, Emotes, Back Blings, Contrails, Wraps, and even Music Packs. Depending on the rarity of the cosmetic item, some may cost more than others.
Aside from the Battle Pass and purchasing cosmetics in Fortnite's Item Shop, V-Bucks can also be spent to gift players cosmetic items. Instead of buying them using V-Bucks, they can be gifted and sent to another player's account.
