The Chomp Sr. skin in Fortnite was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 5 with the update v5.0 on July 22, 2018. It is clear that Epic Games took inspiration for this character from a shark. Its entire design is based on these dangerous "sea dogs," the name being a popular term used until the 16th century. With the Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration slated to begin soon, having this character back in-game makes a lot of sense.

Coming back to Chomp Sr., unlike Loot Sharks that once roamed the waters surrounding the island, this character is far from deadly or dangerous. When spotted in-game, most opponents have a quick chuckle upon seeing him.

Nevertheless, Chomp Sr. is still a great piece of cosmetic to own. He can also be used while exploring some of the best LEGO Fortnite seeds out there. If you so happen to stumble upon a Shore biome, you will feel right at home.

How to get the Chomp Sr. skin in Fortnite Item Shop: Price, availability, and other details

As of today (July 9, 2024), the Chomp Sr. skin is listed in the Fortnite Item Shop, alongside other cosmetics specific to the character and associated with the Chomp Set.

The set comprises these five cosmetic items:

Chomp Sr. (Outfit)
Chomp Sr. (LEGO Outfit + Selectable Styles)
Shark Fin (Back Bling)
Chomp Jr. (Pickaxe)
Laser Chomp (Glider)

Those interested in obtaining all the cosmetics and items that are part of the Chomp Bundle can purchase them at a discounted price of 2,500 V-Bucks. Note that the total price for all cosmetics purchased separately is 5,000 V-Bucks. As mentioned, you can also buy the Chomp Sr. skin separately.
