Harvesting Tools in Fortnite are extremely popular and are almost always in high demand. Although they're only used to harvest resources in-game and occasionally hit opponents and/or certain objectives that are specific to particular missions, the community loves them.
The latest one that's causing quite a stir within the community is The Masterwork Pickaxe. While there's nothing out of the ordinary about this Harvesting Tool, it cannot be obtained from the Item Shop or claimed from the Battle Pass. As of now, there's only one way for players to get their hands on it, and it has to do with a certain "Crew."
Here's how to obtain The Masterwork Pickaxe in Fortnite Chapter 4
Master the game with our Fortnite Interactive Map v33.00 here!
The Masterwork Pickaxe can only be obtained one way in Fortnite Chapter 4. Players interested in getting their hands on this Harvesting Tool will have to subscribe to Crew for the month of February and March. That said, for those new to this service, it should be noted that it costs real-life money. V-Bucks cannot be used for this particular transaction.
Players will have to use external payment methods to acquire the Crew subscription in-game. Considering credit card norms from one country to the next, online payment platforms such as PayPal may have to be used to purchase this subscription service.
Is it worth subscribing to Fortnite Crew this month?
Yes, it's extremely worthwhile and here's why: By subscribing to Crew in February or latest, by the end of this month (February 28), the benefits will extend to March as well. Since the subscription has a 30-day billing cycle, the Crew subscription for one month will provide two months' worth of exclusive cosmetics.
However, keep in mind that V-Bucks and/or progression towards unlocking Legacy Sets (Photonic and Protocol/Zen) won't be rewarded until the Crew subscription has been renewed for the second month (on the date of the billing cycle). Despite this being a major blow, there's an upside, fortunately. Players will be able to obtain the Battle Pass for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 and 2.
With about two weeks left before the next season, those who are currently at Seasonal Level 150 and above will easily be able to complete the Battle Pass. Given that a one-time Crew subscription now, or at the end of February, will grant the Battle Pass for two seasons as well as additional cosmetic items, this makes it a major win-win situation for players.
Once the rewards have been granted, you can go ahead and cancel the Crew subscription to avoid paying on the next billing cycle. Alternatively, it can even be canceled right after subscribing and players will still receive the aforementioned benefits.
What will be the theme for April’s Crew Pack in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?
With the medieval theme coming to an end, there's no telling what Epic Games has planned for its community next. While there is speculation about a potential Japanese theme, which has arisen due to an upcoming Bamboo POI found in the files, no one knows for sure.
Much like how the Fortnite Crew Packs for January, February, and March have a distinct medieval 'touch' to them, the upcoming April version will likely follow the theme that's prevalent at the time. Although a Japanese cyberpunk theme would be a nice addition to the metaverse, this is all based on speculation and wishful thinking.
With the Rift Gate about to open in-game, it's presently unclear in which direction the theme will pivot towards. Considering that Rift Warden Stellan is doing the bidding of the Shapeless Man, there's no telling what will happen in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. Before the first leaks begin to appear early next month, there's no way of knowing anything for certain.
