As soon as a new season starts, players want to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode, and with good reason. After grinding Battle Royale and Zero Build, most semi-professional and sweaty players feel the need to challenge themselves. The thrill of combat and building against other veterans is exhilarating to say the least. With that in mind, these players rush to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode.
While they know every trick in the book to reach Unreal Rank in Fortnite within a few days, most players don't even make it past Epic Rank. This can lead to frustration, and ultimately, giving up on even trying. That said, here's everything you need to know about how to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode.
Follow these three tips to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode
The Fortnite Ranked Mode has a relatively simple formula that Epic Games uses to rank up players. Three important factors come into the equation, as mentioned below:

- Match placement and victories
- Number of eliminations
- Teaming up with players of equal skill
1) Match placement and victories
The first factor is straightforward. The higher you place during the match, the faster your rank will increase. If you manage to get a Victory Royale while playing the Ranked Mode, you will also earn bonus points. This is by far the fastest way to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode. Each victory will bring you closer to reaching Unreal Rank in Fortnite and is a good way to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode.

2) Number of eliminations
The second thing to keep in mind is the number of eliminations you get. Eliminating the competition outright in every match will ensure you rise through the ranks at breakneck speeds. However, there is a small trick to improve the odds of this.
Most players tend to go for eliminations at the start of the match. This is not a good way to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode. While this is a viable strategy, it's not a sound one. At the start of the match, the aim should be to find enough gear and weapons to sustain yourself for the rest of the match. You can also consider interacting with NPCs like The Underwriter to buy supplies.
If you get stuck in prolonged combat at the start of the match, your supplies will dwindle. Eventually, you will have to take risks to get out of situations or hope that the enemy is third-partied. This is more so the case in Battle Royale. When players fall short on mats (materials), the game is all but over.
3) Teaming up with players of equal skill
It's important to note that teams will be treated as a single unit. This means that all team members will gain or lose progress according to the team placement and eliminations. It's either all for one or none for all types of situations. This is similar to exploring LEGO Fortnite seeds. You either coordinate and work as a squad to secure your Village or lose everything together.
On that note, it is important to remember that matchmaking will be based on the highest-ranked member of the team. This is a double edged sword, and with good reason. If a team member is of a lower rank, they might create a skill gap within the team. On the flipside, if they are able to eliminate higher-ranked players, they gain extra points. This is one of the ways to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode.
With all that being said, if you are new to the game, consider playing Battle Royale or Zero Build before jumping into Ranked. Understanding how the game works, and mastering the basics will be needed before you can start to level up fast in Fortnite Ranked mode.
