The next Fortnite downtime could last for up to 12-18 hours. Each season of the popular video game comes after a downtime, which isn't something that a lot of players enjoy.

There have been rumors about the upcoming Fortnite season bringing Chapter 4. However, considering that Chapter 3 hasn't been out for even a year, this seems unlikely. Instead, we will simply get Chapter 3 Season 5.

This article will reveal everything we know about the upcoming Fortnite downtime. We will mention how long it will last and what we can expect from it. Furthermore, the current season will have a new live event.

Earlier this season, there were rumors about the next season bringing a new chapter. Due to this, many players reckoned that the next Fortnite downtime would last for two days. However, this doesn't seem to be true anymore.

Originally, it was believed that the current Fortnite season would end on December 3. However, Chapter 3 Season 5 (or Chapter 4 Season 1) is touted to begin on December 5. This is a big reason why players started believing that Chapter 4 would come out. Almost every extended downtime brings a new chapter.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the new chapter will begin next month. Based on the latest leaks, the new arrival in Fortnite Battle Royale will be Chapter 3 Season 5. Furthermore, the next Fortnite downtime will last from 12 to 18 hours.

There will be a live event at the end of Chapter 3 Season 4. Despite no further information, it will most likely begin at 4 pm Eastern Time. After that, players will get another "To Be Continued" screen, which will last approximately 12 hours.

Fortnite updates typically come at 4 am Eastern Time, with most events starting at 4 pm. Due to this, we can expect a 12-hour Fortnite downtime, which isn't too bad considering that a new season will come out.

Next live event

No one knows what the next Fortnite live event will be about. However, considering that the entire season is centered around Chrome, we can expect it to play a huge role. It also appears that Dr. Slone will return to the video game at some point, so she may be included in the event as well.

At the moment, Chrome keeps spreading all over the island and is slowly approaching the Reality Tree. Once it reaches the tree, there is a good chance the Herald will use it to open a portal to The Last Reality or The Nothing, where the live event will happen.

This is just one of many theories regarding the next live event. However, we may get more information with the release of the v22.40 update on Tuesday, November 25. This will be the fourth major update of the current season and will bring a lot of new content, including potential info about the live event.
