A key holder in LEGO Fortnite is an access pass or a key that you can give to fellow players/friends that allows them full access to your world, even when you are offline. Making someone a key holder in LEGO Fortnite allows them to enter or exit your world even if you are not present or online on Fortnite.
A key holder also gains the same access and powers as you, meaning they can build, destroy, and mine anything. They can make permanent modifications or alterations to the world in terms of appearance or resources and it can be seen by other key holders as well.
How to make someone a key holder in LEGO Fortnite
You can make someone a key holder in LEGO Fortnite easily.
- First, you need to add your friend (s) to your lobby and then launch a LEGO Fortnite world.
- Make sure to invite them to the lobby before you start the world to make it easier to share the world.
- Once you are in the world and your friends are present, open up the map or the inventory menu and head to the Players tab.
- Select the name of your friend from the "In World Tab" and hit the Share key button to make them a key holder of your world.
Additionally, you can invite friends to your lobby using the Invite Players button.
After you have shared the key, your friend will receive a notification in-game stating [YourFriend] is now a keyholder for this world. After this, your friend has unlimited access to your world even after you are offline.
You can now head out with your friends to defeat difficult mobs like Storm-Wild enemies and get your hands on a Storm Core. Be careful who you share your key with as they have the exact permissions and rights as you do to modify or delete objects, items, and resources.
How to remove someone as a key holder in LEGO Fortnite
The process of removing someone as a key holder in LEGO Fortnite is as easy as adding them.
- Once you are in the world, open up the map or the inventory menu and head to the Players tab.
- Select the name of your friend from the "In World Tab" and hit the remove key button to remove them as a key holder of your world.
- Once you do this, they will immediately lose access to your world and will not be able to enter until you allow them to your lobby or share a key again.
You should also remember that removing someone as a keyholder in LEGO Fortnite does not undo the changes they have made to your world. So, be careful who you share your keys with.
