Planting the bomb in Fortnite Ballistic is pretty straightforward. However, things can get a bit complicated for players new to tactical shooters. The bomb, also known as the Rift Point Device, must be planted in one of the two locations on the map i.e., site A or B. After planting the bomb, the attacking team must defend it from being defused. If the timer ends, the bomb explodes and the attackers win the round.

You must be on the Attackers team to plant the bomb in Fortnite Ballistic. Here's a step-by-step guide to planting the bomb:

First of all, you must pick up the bomb or the Rift Point Device from your spawn location i.e., the Attackers' spawn.
Take it to either of the sites - A or B.
Look for the shattered ground with purple cracks.
Go near it and press the interact button to plant the bomb. By default, it's 'E' on Windows PC.

That's it. Now wait for the bomb-planting animation to complete and the bomb will be planted. Do note that there is only one bomb or Rift Point Device per round and for you to plant it, you must have picked it up from your spawn.

How to get the bomb in Fortnite Ballistic

The bomb in Fortnite Ballistic can only be found in the Attackers' spawn. Each round in the match will spawn only one such bomb. You can pick it up yourself or ask a teammate to pick it up. It's quite hard to miss as it will be right at the spawn.

That said, if you pick it up and die, the bomb will be dropped. In that case, it is up to your teammates to pick it up and get it planted before the timer runs out.

What is the "bomb" in Fortnite Ballistic?

As discussed earlier, the bomb in Fortnite Ballistic is also known as the Rift Point Device. This explosive can take out anybody and anything in its blast radius, which happens to be quite large. Even if you take cover behind a wall or any solid surface that falls under its blast radius, you will get annihilated as soon as it goes off.

There is simply no escape if you get caught in the bomb's blast radius. Hence, the best strategy to survive is to distance yourself from the bomb when it's about to go off.

What is Fortnite Ballistic?

Fortnite Ballistic is Fortnite's take on a tactical shooter. It's a 5v5 first-person game mode where the players are divided into teams of two - Attackers and Defenders. Here, the objective of the Attackers is to plant the bomb before the match timer ends and prevent it from being defused. Alternatively, the Attackers can win the round by simply taking out all their foes i.e., the Defenders before the timer ends.

The Defenders, on the other hand, have a pretty simple job. Prevent the Rift Point Device or the bomb from being planted or eliminate the Attackers before the timer runs out. If the bomb has been planted, they must defuse it. By doing so, they will win the round, even if the members of the attacking team are alive.
