Fortnite Ballistic game mode: Everything you need to know
1) How to find Fortnite Ballistic
Finding this game mode in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is pretty straightforward. Like the Classic Battle Royale and Reload modes, Fortnite Ballistic is featured on the game's home page. If you are unable to find it, simply click the search icon at the top left of the screen, type "Fortnite Ballistic", and hit enter.

2) How to play
There are 10 players in a lobby, divided into two teams of five players each. One team starts as the Attackers, and the other as the Defenders.
All players start with 800 Credits (the in-game currency for this specific game mode) and a Ranger Pistol. The Attackers' objective is to plant the Rift Point Device at one of the two sites (A or B), and defend it until it detonates. Meanwhile, the Defenders must prevent the device from getting planted, and if they fail at that, they must defuse the planted item.
After six rounds, the Attackers and Defenders switch sides. The first team to win seven rounds wins the match. This game mode has both Unranked and Ranked matches to play. However, players should note that leaving an ongoing Ranked match would result in penalties.

3) Tips for beginners
Ballistic is quite a difficult game mode, that requires more than just good aim and response time. It depends on team play and smart decision-making. Here are some tips to help players who are playing a tactical shooter for the first time:
- Economy management: Spend the Credits wisely. The more you stay alive, the more currency you will have, which can be used to buy a strong weapon for you or your teammates.
- Team coordination: You must communicate with your teammates, rather than going for eliminations or unnecessary aggressive pushes on your own.
- Map awareness: It's crucial to learn the layout of A and B sites in tactical shooter games. Explore the map and try to memorize important locations. As of now, the mode has only one map named Skyline 10, but more are very likely to arrive soon.
