Splitscreen on Playstation and Xbox has its drawbacks
It is important to note that splitscreen only works in-game. The lobby or any of the submenus cannot be shared. Additionally, they cannot share inventory using split-screen mode. Both players must have the same language settings for this feature to work on PlayStation and Xbox.
While these are the basics to be noted to play splitscreen, the most important thing that you need to know before diving into this mode is that the screen will be divided. Now, it will be separated horizontally by default, which can also be made vertically depending on what works for you better.
However, this is a crucial aspect to be kept in mind to play Fortnite splitscreen on PlayStation and Xbox, as limited screen view does affect how a team plays. Make sure to communicate efficiently with your teammate to make the most out of this drawback.
