Fortnite is not removing the no build mode. Despite rumors and hearsay, the no build, aka Zero Build mode, is here to say. Since being introduced at the start of Chapter 3 Season 2, it has gone from strength to strength.
After successfully being integrated into the game over the past few seasons, it's safe to say it will go nowhere. With the community having adapted and fallen in love with this mode, it is not a part of the metaverse and will remain so. However, it is not a perfect mode by any means.
Fortnite's no build mode could use some finetuning
Despite the developers putting their heart and soul into developing the Zero Build mode, a few things require fine-tuning. Perhaps one of the major talking points is the lack of mobility.

In build mode, players can create a ramp to overcome high ground and move across uneven terrain. However, players in the Zero Build mode are often forced to go around the obstacle without the ability to build.
Despite having access to Trail Thrasher Dirt Bikes and Augments such as Soaring Sprints, there's sometimes nothing to do but take a long way around. Nevertheless, this is not true for all areas of the map, as there are plenty of ascenders and zip lines to get from one point to another.
However, in certain places, neither makes rotating to high ground a hellish ordeal. If opponents have managed to get into a good defense and create a bulwark using Cow Catchers, players will perish in the assault.
With that said, this is not the only problem plaguing the no build mode. The poor skill-based matchmaking system (SMBB) makes it hard for players to secure a Victory Royale. Without the ability to build for protection, players often get beamed at by opponents and perish in seconds. This leads to another problem: the lack of solid defensive items.
Although Cow Catchers, Port-A-Bunkers, and Guardian Shields can be used for defense, they don't last forever when subjected to heavy fire. Eventually, players will be left exposed and in the open. Furthermore, given that Rocket Launchers have been introduced back into the loot pool, extra defense is always good.
Perhaps buffing these utility items in no builds mode in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 will help solve this problem. Alternatively, the developers can bring back the Armored Wall in some capacity to the no build mode. Allowing players to reinforce their Port-A-Bunkers with metal would even out the odds.
Should you play Fortnite in no build mode in Chapter 4?
Despite the minor shortcomings in Fortnite's no build mode, it is extremely stable and fun to play. For those who cannot and do not want to build but still want to play the game, this is the best option that's available.
Over time, the developers will implement more dedicated features to the mode to make certain activities, such as rotation, a bit easier. That said, no build has a long way to go and is far from perfect. Nonetheless, it is the future of Fortnite.
Given how many new players joined the game after this mode went live, it is a testament to the statement. While 'No Build' didn't reinvent the wheel for the game in any way, it did refine it for casual players and those who wanted nothing to do with building altogether.
