Fortnite Crew has long provided players with exclusive cosmetics that stand out among the sea of other skins in the game while also giving members something to look forward to every month. While most outfits released in the Fortnite Crew Pack are generally well-received by the community, others leave the community polarized.

Such is the case with the new Jing skin, which is set to be a part of the Fortnite Crew Pack for June 2024. The character's design seems to be a blend of the classic samurai look with a more tactical outfit, putting a twist on the beloved samurai design. However, while the design is certainly unique, it has had a mixed reception.

This is highlighted in a recent Reddit post shared by u/UncleBug35, where the player prompted a discussion regarding the Jing skin, with Reddit user u/The_Traveller__ comparing the outfit to other Fortnite Crew Packs and stating:

Other members of the community also chimed in with their takes on the Jing skin, with Reddit user u/thematthewglover referencing the previous repetitive Crew Fortnite cosmetics and expressing their appreciation for the unique design of the outfit. Reddit user u/HypixL, on the other hand, stated that while the skin works on its own, it could have been better.

Meanwhile, Reddit user u/FrogSalesmann said that while the skin's second style was better than its base look, they probably would not be using the skin in the game. Reddit user u/Trogar1 expressed their dissatisfaction with the skin, with the player emphasizing how Jing does not fit into the Wasteland theme of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 and would have been better in Chapter 4 Season 2.

Expressing how the skin slowly grew on them, Reddit user u/Ampharosite181 commented:

"Very quickly grew on me. I still think the operatic style looks nicer than base style but I'm feeling the design a lot more overall than I initially was."

When will Jing be added to the Fortnite Crew?

As mentioned, Jing is the latest Fortnite Crew Pack skin that is set to arrive in the game in June 2024. Since the Crew membership resets on the last day of every month at 7 pm EST, it is fair to assume that Jing will arrive once the Crew Pack for May 2024 expires. Given below are the timings for Jing's release across all major regions:

  • Pacific Standard Time (PST): June 1, 2024, at 4 PM
  • Mountain Standard Time (MST): June 1, 2024, at 5 PM
