Fortnite Ballistic matchmaking error: Possible causes explored

Fortnite Ballistic is the new 5v5 FPS shooter mode that dropped today, as mentioned previously. After the action-packed teaser, gamers were looking forward to trying it out. However, many are facing a constant matchmaking error and are unable to join a game.

Epic Games confirmed that there is an issue present with matchmaking and that they are actively working on it. The matchmaking error could possibly be caused due to several players joining to try the new mode for the first time, straining the servers.

Additionally, gamers have reported facing matchmaking and login issues in other Fortnite game modes, as well. The official Fortnite status account on X also reported the issue and stated that matchmaking would be affected across different experiences, including launching into UEFN sessions and publishing of islands.

Users can try restarting their game and joining the respective modes to see if the Ballistic matchmaking error has been resolved. Alternatively, they can wait for an update from Fortnite regarding the status of the server.
