Following the end of 2024, Epic Games has revealed impressive annual statistics about Fortnite Creative and UEFN. Over the past year, players spent 5.23 billion hours playing creator-made maps, which made up 36.5% of Fortnite's total playtime — a significant increase from the previous year. Epic Games paid a staggering $352 million to creators in 2024, representing an 11% rise compared to the same period in 2023.

Epic Games shares Fortnite Creative statistics for 2024
According to the official blog, Epic Games has reported significant growth in the Fortnite Creative and UEFN ecosystem. The number of creators tripled from 24,000 in 2023 to 70,000 in 2024. Similarly, the total number of creator-made islands published has nearly doubled, to 198,000. Player engagement across daily, monthly, and yearly metrics saw a 15% increase, with a notable rise in non-combat game genres like roleplay and Deathruns.
As mentioned before, the massive success of Fortnite Creative resulted in a total payout of over $352 million, with over fifty map creators earning over a million dollars in 2024. The total playtime hours of creator-made maps saw a 5% increase compared to 2023, from 4.98 billion hours to 5.23 billion in 2024.
