The Fortnite Disney D23 livestream was delayed for quite a bit, but the wait was worth it in the end. Apart from revealing the trailer for Chapter 5 Season 4, a plethora of other collaborations were announced. It would appear that the remainder of this year is going to be dominated by Disney. Having said that, there will be other collaborations as well, but they might be fighting for the spotlight.
Coming back to the Fortnite Disney D23 livestream, three major collaborations are now confirmed. Characters from three different studios/franchises will be coming to the Fortnite Item Shop over the next few weeks. Here is more on what you can expect to see.
Fortnite Disney D23 livestream reveals upcoming collaborations
As mentioned, Fortnite and Disney are pulling out all the stop signs and tossing in the kitchen sink as well. Over the course of 2024, multiple new characters will be added to the game.

From Disney, Cruella, Captain Hook, and Maleficent will be added to the Metaverse. From Pixar, Helen Parr aka Elastigirl and Mrs. Incredible, Bob Parr aka Mr. Incredible, and Frozone will be introduced to the game. Lastly, from the Star Wars franchise, Moff Gideon, IG-11, and a Grogu Back Bling will be added.
While the aforementioned names are already substantial, these were the ones that were confirmed at the Fortnite Disney D23 livestream. It goes without saying that many more will be added as time progresses. With Epic Games and Disney's long-term partnership in place, there could be dozens that will be added to the game over the many seasons to come.
There is also talk of a new variant of Fishstick called Fishpool joining the Metaverse soon. With Deadpool & Wolverine making such an impact, Epic Games was bound to add another variant of the character in-game.
When will the collaborations showcased on the Fortnite Disney D23 livestream go live?
While the collaborations have been revealed, the official dates for all of them being added to the Fortnite Item Shop have not. The characters from Disney and Pixar are slated to release sometime in Fall of 2024. The Star Wars characters, on the other hand, will be released on August 12, 2024.
That being said, Epic Games will announce things in an official capacity when they are ready to add the characters to the game. Some information could also potentially be revealed during the Fortnite downtime for update v31.00.
