Epic Games has just released the brand-new trailer for Fortnite Festival Season 4 featuring Metallica, and the new footage showcases players what they can expect from not just the cosmetic aspect but also gameplay features that seem to come to the Festival. The collaboration between Epic Games and the legendary heavy metal band has been rumored for a while, and with Chapter 5 Season 3's wasteland themes, the collaboration fits perfectly.
The trailer features outfits for all four members of Metallica, with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo all receiving their own skins in the game, all of which will be featured in the Season 4 Festival Pass. The Season 4 Festival Pass will be added to the game once the Season 3 Festival Pass featuring Billie Eilish ends.

While the introduction of Metallica is undoubtedly the highlight of the newly released trailer for Fortnite Festival Season 4, the trailer also showcases what seems to be a PvP mode coming to the rhythm-based Fortnite experience. In the trailer, performing members, including Metallica themselves, can be seen performing Enter Sandman, which will likely be added to the game as a Fortnite Jam Track.
However, while the performance itself is electrifying, the performing members can be seen hurling balls of energy at each other by using their instruments and dealing damage to each other. This can be seen as confirmation of a PvP mode coming to the Fortnite Festival Season 4, which is only boosted by the trailer boasting the Battle Stage title with it.
Fortnite Festival already has the Main Stage and Jam Stage, both of which serve a different purpose. The new Battle Stage will likely be the playground for players to engage in a battle of tunes, and while the exact details about how the Battle Stage will work are still not entirely clear, it is sure to add another layer of excitement to the rhythm-based game mode.
