According to the latest Fortnite leak, it would appear that King Kong might become a boss sometime during Chapter 6, likely in Season 1. This leak is even more believable considering how Godzilla is part of this phase of the storyline and has been revealed in an official capacity. The creature is part of the Battle Pass and could be featured on the island as another boss.
That said, the information regarding King Kong being featured as a Boss comes from the leaker/data miner @Loolo_WRLD. They have been uncovering accurate details related to Chapter 6 for a while now. As such, the Fortnite leak in question is based on information that has been data-mined.
Note: This article is speculative and based entirely on a leak from X/Loolo_WRLD. Readers are advised to take the information with a grain of salt.

King Kong is to be a Boss according to the Fortnite leak
The information about King Kong becoming a Boss is limited, but it does shed light on what we could see in the near future. Based on what is known, there are currently four tags associated with Kong. They are:
- Growl
- Roar (long/short)
- Step
- Thump
Since these are all related to some sort of action, it is a clear indication that Kong could have a few abilities once in-game. The creature should be able to Growl (likely an audio cue) and Roar should be similar. As for Step and Thump, they could be audio cues that indicate how close Kong is to a player.
That said, if Kong is featured as a giant boss — same as Doctor Victor Von Doom from Chapter 5 Season 4 — Step and Thump could be action movements. Kong may be able to execute these moves to attack players or send them flying in multiple directions.
When could Kong appear on the island as a Boss?
With Winterfest 2024 in full swing until January 7, 2025, Kong is unlikely to make his potential debut anytime before the stipulated timeline. If Kong is added as a Boss (as with Godzilla), he will feature after the festive season comes to an end. This will likely occur after the Fortnite update for v33.20 goes live.

Epic Games could tease this in the coming days/weeks to create hype, but in all probability, leakers will once more shed light on upcoming content long beforehand.
