According to the latest Fortnite leak, Chapter OG may not feature the new movement mechanics that are being added to Chapter 6 Season 1. Veteran FN leaker @ShiinaBR shared the information on social media platform X, having obtained it from another leaker, @zatheo_. Based on what is known, Epic Games wants to keep the OG mode as close to the original as possible.

Based on the details shared by @zatheo_, Chapter OG will include four movement types. They were not present in the original Chapter 1, but have become a much-loved feature in-game. Thus, they will be added to help improve mobility and tactical movement on the whole. That said, here is a list of the movement mechanics that will be present, as per leaks:

Tactical Sprint
Clambering
Door Bashing
Sliding

Furthermore, @ShiinaBR has clarified that the new movement types being added in Chapter 6 Season 1 will not be featured in the OG mode. This means that Ledge Jump, Roll Landing, Wall Kick, and Wall Scramble will not be implemented.

This makes sense, as the OG mode aims to induce nostalgia and allow players to relive the golden days of 2017. Limiting certain mechanics seems to be for the best.

Will Fortnite Chapter OG use new movement animations?

At the moment, it is unclear if OG mode will utilize the new animations added in Chapter 6, or use older ones. Once again, since the OG mode is designed to be reminiscent of the golden days of 2017, older animations would be the likely candidate.

That said, Epic Games will likely share more information regarding Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 1 before it launches on December 6, 2024. Perhaps, the developers will also soon share an official list of OG weapons that are returning.
