Fortnite leaks hint at upcoming Adidas collaboration

According to the latest Fortnite leaks, a collaboration with Adidas seems to be in development. Given Epic Games's association with apparel brands, this is more than just a mere rumor or hearsay. Since there have been collaborations in the past with other apparel brands, this one will likely come to fruition when the time comes.

That said, the information was brought to light by Fortnite leaker/data-miner SamLeakss. It was spotted by the individual and re-shared on the social media platform X by veteran Fortnite leaker/data-miner HYPEX. While information is limited, a few potential conclusions can be drawn based on similar past collaborations.

Fortnite leaks hint at Adidas collaboration in development

Based on the recent Nike collaboration that occurred in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, some conclusions can be drawn. Characters will be added to the Fortnite Item Shop as Outfit. These will likely be original in design and have their own unique associated cosmetics as well. There will likely also be a UEFN map in place. Maps tend to provide a lot of visibility and traction and will help with the promotion.

There could be quests/challenges to complete and freebies as well for players to earn and/or unlock. There could also be branded apparel for players to purchase from dedicated outlets. Aside from this, there could be other real-life promotional events as well, but nothing can be said for the time being.

When could the Fortnite x Adidas collaboration go live?

It's hard to say when the Fortnite x Adidas collaboration will go live as a lot is going on at the moment. With Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 just getting started, content is saturated at the moment.

With the rumored Fortnite x Pirates Of The Caribbean collaboration coming soon, there doesn't seem to be any space in-game. Epic Games would want to space out collaborations less they overlap, which would reduce their visibility considerably.

That being said, the Fortnite x Adidas collaboration could go live towards the end of the current season sometime in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. More information will be provided as and when leaks surface.
