Fortnite leaks hint at upcoming content for Metallica collaboration

According to recent Fortnite leaks, the Metallica collaboration that's slated to arrive on June 13, 2024, will be jam-packed with content. It will be spread out over Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and of course Fortnite Festival modes. They are expected to headline Fortnite Festival Season 4, and according to a recently discovered game script, a concert is expected to happen as well.

The aforementioned information was brought to light by leaker/data-miner NotPaloleaks. It was also reshared by HYPEX and ShiinaBR, two of the most reliable sources of information for Fortnite. That said, it's time to explore what awaits players in the upcoming Metallica collaboration.

As mentioned, the content will be spread across all major modes in Fortnite barring Save The World. There will be cosmetics, Fortnite Jam Tracks, mythics, and map changes associated with Metallica. Here is everything we know so far:

Outfits + LEGO Outfits: James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo.
Battle Royale Concert with six "fan-favorite" songs
New Mythic Weapon: Metal Lightning Guitar
New POI: Metallica's Loot Island
Fortnite Rocket Racing: Thrash Mountain Car + other rewards
Fortnite Festival Season 4 Pass

Aside from these, there could be more cosmetics and perhaps Jam Tracks as well. There could be some in-game reference added to the map to spruce up the collaboration, but there's no guarantee.

All in all, this will be the first major heavy metal collaboration in Fortnite that has been officially sanctioned by Epic Games. This opens the door to other major heavy metal bands as well such as Avenged Sevenfold, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and many others.

When could Fortnite Festival Season 4 go live?

With Fortnite Festival Season 3 ending on June 13, 2024, at 12 am Eastern Time, the next season will begin shortly thereafter. A major update is scheduled to occur on June 13, 2024. The downtime usually starts at 4 am Eastern Time and wraps up in about four hours. Based on this, it can be assumed that Fortnite Festival Season 4 will start at around 8 am Eastern Time once downtime ends.
