According to recent Fortnite leaks, the upcoming update v33.20 is scheduled to arrive on January 14, 2025. This will be the third major update for Chapter 6 Season 1 and the first one since Winterfest 2024. Given that this will usher in mid-season content and collaboration, there's a lot that can be expected.

This information was brought to light by three reliable Fortnite leakers/data miners @HYPEX, @ShiinaBR, and @Loolo_WRLD. The former two have been cornerstones of the community since Chapter 1, while the latter is an up-and-coming leaker who has correctly predicted several collaborations and in-game content over the past few Seasons. Here is more on what to expect.

Very recently, a Fortnite Hatsune Miku collaboration was teased by the official account on X. As previously suggested by numerous leakers/data miners, this entity will be the headline act for Fortnite Festival Season 7.

It will start soon after Festival Season 6 ends on January 14, 2025. Snoop Dogg will finally step out of the spotlight and let Hatsune Miku take over. On that note, as per the information at hand, Hatsune Miku will have two Icon Series Outfits, with a total of six Selectable Styles. She will also have Festival Jam Tracks, a Stage, and perhaps even items featured in Battle Royale/Zero Build.

Aside from this collaboration, Godzilla should be unlocked in the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass and likely featured on the island and as a boss. There is no telling if King Kong will also be present as a boss on the island at this time, but leaks have suggested this possibility. Additionally, items related to both of these kaijus could be added to the loot pool.

Lastly, there could be more information about upcoming collaborations, such as with Demon Slayer and other leaks about content in the pipeline. Of course, not all of it will come to pass in this phase of the storyline. However, it will be nice to know what we can expect to see later this year, perhaps in Chapter 6 Season 2, and beyond.

That said, Epic Games should officially announce the upcoming update (v33.20) sometime at the start of next week. By then, there will be more in-depth information about what to expect in the update.
