According to recent Fortnite leaks, it appears that Epic Games has begun playtesting Chapter 6 Season 2. The information was shared by veteran leaker/data miner @HYPEX and also @Loolo_WRLD. While information regarding the playtest is all but obscure, it's a good sign in the grand scheme of things.
If nothing else, it can be said with near certainty that Chapter 6 Season 1 will indeed end on February 21, 2025, as planned. With the developers already playtesting the map and other assets, no delays are to be expected. That being said, not a lot is known about Chapter 6 Season 2. However, a few conclusions can be drawn based on the current timeline.

Fortnite leaks suggest that Chapter 6 Season 2 is on track
With roughly seven weeks to go until Chapter 6 Season 2 kicks off, there are no conclusive details at play regarding what to expect. However, based on the current timeline, we could see the island brought to its knees due to Godzilla and King Kong arriving in-game soon.
We will potentially see a showdown between these two kaiju toward the end of Chapter 6 Season 1. During the battle that ensues, a few Named Locations and Landmarks on the island could be damaged or even partially destroyed.
This pattern has been observed in the past when Kevin The Cube rolled in Loot Lake and again when The Cube Queen invaded the island with The Last Reality. In fact, POIs being destroyed and rebuilt as an iteration of the original has been part of the storyline since Chapter 1.
Aside from the imminent destruction that will occur on the island, with the presence of demons still strong, we could see collaboration with Demon Slayer come to life. It was initially slated to arrive in Chapter 6 Season 1, but it would appear that it might have been postponed (which is not a bad thing). A collaboration with Pixar's Cars is also confirmed and could arrive next season.
In terms of the storyline of Chapter 6 Season 2, Fortnite leaks have come up short. The community as a whole is in the dark regarding next season's possible storyline and theme. On a side note, with Epic Games playtesting the next phase of the timeline, we could get leaks and/or teasers later this month or early February 2025.
That said, for the time being, make the most of Chapter 6 Season 1 and take in everything it has to offer. Be sure to complete Weekly Quests/Challenges for XP and claim everything from the numerous in-game Passes.
