Epic Games is set to introduce a new season for the Fortnite Festival. With Season 3 featuring Billie Eilish coming to an end, the mode is going to receive a brand new artist and Festival Pass.

As confirmed by a new trailer released from Epic Games, Metallica is set to be the artist featured in the upcoming season. The inclusion of the heavy metal legends has been hinted at ever since the leaked roadmap for 2024. Moreover, Epic Games recently revealed a brand new Main Stage for the upcoming Festival season, with its design complementing Metallica's music.

Since this band is reportedly set to be featured as the focus artist for Festival Season 4, players can expect to see outfits for the band members as well as Metallica songs being featured as Fortnite Jam Tracks in the Festival Pass.

Additionally, the Fortnite v30.10 update early patch notes mention the ability to use Jam Tracks as Lobby Music as well as a new PvP mode for the Festival.

However, the collaboration does not end there, seeping into the Battle Royale mode with Epic Games modifying the Loot Island to resemble a stage inspired by Metallica's M72 World Tour. Players can find holographic versions of this band's members performing around this stage when the Loot Island rifts in.

The Fortnite v30.10 update early patch notes suggest changes for the Battle Royale mode, with Epic Games potentially bringing the Shield Breaker EMP grenades back to the game to replace FN's Boogie Bombs. The reintroduction of this item has been demanded by players ever since the launch of Chapter 5 Season 3, as it would provide them with another way to counter cars.

In addition to the EMP Shield Breaker, players can also potentially expect other items like the Minigun and the base Combat Assault Rifle to return to the game. The update could also bring new weapons such as the new anti-vehicle sniper rifle as well as the TowHook Cannon, which was first seen in the Chapter 5 Season 3 T-60 Power Armor teaser.

Additionally, the Fortnite v30.10 update early patch notes also confirm the addition of Ride the Lightning, a unique new musical weapon that will allow players to create an arc of lightning and ride it to traverse the Island.

New skins and cosmetics

A new update would not be as exciting without new cosmetics, and apart from the potential Metallica cosmetics on the Fortnite Festival Pass, the update will also add other skins to the game. This includes Nick Eh 30 Icon Series skin, which was recently revealed by the streamer himself.

Apart from that, the Fortnite v30.10 update early patch notes suggest that the update could also bring Super Styles for the skins from the Chapter 5 Season 3 Battle Pass as well as cosmetics that add to the game's ongoing collaboration with the Fallout franchise.
