Fortnite x Asdfmovie collaboration could be coming to the game soon

In an unexpected turn of events, it seems like a Fortnite x Asdfmovie collaboration could become a possibility down the line, bringing characters from the viral web series to the Battle Royale island. The possibility spawned when Thomas 'TomSka' Ridgewell, the mind behind Asdfmovie, took to X and replied to a concept that featured asdfmovie characters in Fortnite.

The concept featured a toon aesthetic, similar to skins like Toon Meowscles and Toona Fish. It included the Hip Hop Dude Outfit, The Train Itself Glider, Everybody Do The Flop Emote, and the Muffic Time Jam Track. While the Fortnite x Asdfmovie collaboration concept in itself was impressive, it gained even more attention when TomSka replied to the post:

For those unaware, asdfmovie is a beloved web video series, created by TomSka and started all the way back in 2008. The series features stick-figure characters in two-minute short episodes in a comedic and lighthearted setting. The video series is funnily titled after the first four letters in the middle row of the QWERTY format keyboard, further adding to its minimalistic nature.

However, if a Fortnite x asdfmovie collaboration were to happen, it would certainly be one of the more unique undertakings, owing to Asdfmovie's minimalistic yet unique character and world design. The series, due to its long-running history, has garnered a dedicated fanbase and love from enthusiasts, something that could play a role in whether players get to see asdfmovie characters in the Fortnite Item Shop.

However, it is important to remember that if there were to be a Fortnite x asdfmovie collaboration, it probably would not come to fruition for a while, maybe even until Chapter 6. While TomSka has expressed interest in a collaboration, it will be interesting to see how Epic Games tackles the unlikely crossover of the two beloved universes.
