According to the latest leaks, it appears a Fortnite x Hatsune Miku collaboration is currently in development and could be revealed soon. The information was shared by leaker/data-miner ShiinaBR and FNBRintel, who are reliable sources and have been part of the community for a long time.
The information shared appears to be more of a confirmation than a leak. That said, this is not the first time something related to Hatsune Miku has been trending. Back in 2022, it was rumored that a Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin was under development.

Fortnite x Hatsune Miku collaboration could be part of Festival
It is no secret that Hatsune Miku is a prominent part of Japanese pop culture. This anime character was even involved in a collaboration with Pokemon. As such, it is easy to understand why Epic Games would want to collaborate with her. With Chapter 6 Season 1 being Japanese-themed, this would be the perfect time to introduce Hatsune Miku to the Metaverse.
Hatsune Miku is often considered a musical artist. Despite being developed as a Vocaloid software voicebank, she is well-known for her many songs. According to reports, her voice has been used for over 100,000 unique music tracks, as of 2011. That number could be well over a million at present.

As such, having a Fortnite x Hatsune Miku collaboration for the Festival is very likely. Given the current issues related to NewJeans, Hatsune Miku may replace them for Fortnite Festival Season 7. Of course, nothing can be said in an official capacity, but it would be the most logical choice.
Aside from the Fortnite Festival, Hatsune Miku could get her cosmetics in-game. These could include an Outfit, Pickaxe, Back Blings, and perhaps a few Jam Tracks. This has now become the staple approach to collaborations within the Fortnite ecosystem.
