FTC has started issuing Fortnite refunds for a $245 million lawsuit. While players across the US have started receiving payments, it is unclear how long this process will continue, taking into account the magnitude of users that were affected. The good news is that you if are eligible (or feel you are eligible) for Fortnite refunds, there's still time to apply.
Here's a quick guide on how to check your eligibility.

When applying for Fortnite refunds, you will need to ensure that at least one of these is true. Here is a list of things to check to ensure you are eligible:
- You were charged in-game currency for items you didn’t want between January 2017 and September 2022.
- Your child made charges to your credit card without your knowledge between January 2017 and November 2018.
- Your account was locked between January 2017 and September 2022 after you complained to your credit card company about wrongful charges.
In addition to any one of these parameters, you must be at least 18 years of age to complete a claim form. If you are not yet 18 years old, a parent or guardian must complete the claim form for you. There is no bypass of this security protocol.
If you are sure that you have met all requirements, visit www.fortniterefund.com/file-a-claim to file a claim. You will need a claim number and your Epic Account ID. Once submitted, the FTC will scrutinize your account to see how much of a refund you are eligible for. The amount will vary depending on numerous factors.
When is the last date to apply for Fortnite refunds?
As per the official information, the last date to apply is January 10, 2025. Once this date has passed, the FTC will no longer be obligated to pay out anything else (even if you were affected).
That said if you have applied and are yet to receive the payment, there's no need to worry as the process takes time. However, remember that this all depends on the validity of your claim. If it is false, no Fortnite refunds will be provided.
