A potential upcoming Fortnite Samurai Storm Trooper skin has been spotted in Japan's subway stations. This variant of the Storm Trooper from the Star Wars franchise has been kitted out in traditional Japanese wartime armor. It is still unclear if this will improve their aim with Blasters, but at least they will look cool while missing shots.
The image of the Samurai Storm Trooper was sent by user @GreenGiraffe07 to veteran leaker @ShiinaBR, who posted it on the social media platform X. This is the second Japanese-themed Star Wars character after Samurai Darth Vader was spotted in Japan. Of course, its authenticity is yet to be ratified as Epic Games has not posted anything related to this new collaboration.
Nevertheless, with certain Star Wars lore being canon in the Metaverse, having Japanese variants of characters such as the Fortnite Samurai Storm Trooper skin added to the game wouldn't be too outlandish. Furthermore, as Chapter 6 Season 1 is soaked in Japanese culture, mythology, and art style, it fits into the timeline perfectly. Here is more on the topic at hand.

Fortnite Samurai Storm Trooper skin could arrive once Winterfest 2024 ends
Although Star Wars Day (May 4) is far (far) away, it would appear that Epic Games is bringing out all the stop signs for Chapter 6 Season 1. With the overarching theme being Japan and everything it encompasses, it would seem that another Star Wars collaboration will be arriving shortly.
Epic Games has yet to confirm anything on its social channels, but the posters spotted in Japan have official branding. As such, these have to be considered semi-official for the time being. On that note, prominent Fortnite leakers such as ShiinaBR have shared images on social media suggesting that this collaboration is going to happen.
As for the timeline, there is nothing to speak of at the moment. The only thing that can be said with some certainty is that the Fortnite Samurai Storm Trooper skin will likely be added to the game once Winterfest 2024 ends. With content overflowing in-game, adding more skins will probably not be the best idea.
We could hope for them to be released in early 2025, but an exact date is unavailable. That said, the Fortnite Samurai Storm Trooper skin could be just one of many planned to be released in due time. Numerous characters from the Star Wars franchise would look amazing with Japanese aesthetics, similar to what was done with the recent Ninja Knight Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn skins.
